My question to the geeky guys out there, I hear to many complain that they can't get a girl, yet what kind of girl do they want to be with? the cheerleader.

No seriously, all these guys I hear whine "my girlfriend is upset I'm playing ff." or "she made me quit WoW". Well guess what, there are a LOT of geeky girls out there, but when it comes to reality, the guys always seem to choose the tall thin blonde who goes clubbing, rather than the nice geek next to him who has a LOT more incommon and understands them a LOT better. To this day I think my bf is a freak of nature. He's the first geek I met who actually didn't mind I was a geek versus a super model. D:

I was really good friends with a girl, which later became attraction to said girl, and ultimately ended up in a very very short stint dating said girl. And after we broke it off, naturally, our friendship ended. I'm a firm believer in that whole once you go out with them, you can't be friends with them, deal. :\ She still occasionally comes in where I work (i work at one of our college's off-campus bookstores), and we make small talk, agree we should hang out sometime, ... but nothing ever comes of it. :\

I've not had time for g/f since then. Damn art classes.

I'm a geek, and I'm not afraid to admit it. I love computers, I build them, fix them, take em apart for fun, because I like it. I love technology. I like reading and writing, and other "geeky" things you can think of. And DDR rules, I've probably put enough money in that game to pay my tuition. I work, go to school, play mmo's all day, or hang out with my friends. It would be kinds hard for me to yell at my boyfriend for playing too many games, when I do it myself. Yet guys don't want "geeky" girls cause they're not "hot". You would think all these guys complaining about their girl bitching about them playing WoW all night would find a girl who plays WoW all night too, but they don't.

I don't wear glasses, my teeth are perfectly straight, I never had any problems with acne, I don't wear pocket protectors, and I never got picked on by bullies. (Martial Arts ftw). Although being picked on for not being the society's example of "hot" is another thing.

Who gives a flying shit about things in common. I could have a ton of things in common with someone, and we wouldn't hit it off for other reasons, and vice versa.
