Im gonna say, you want what you dont have. Ive always had a girlfriend, for as long as I can remember. Hell I remember 6th grade (im 23 now) when I had two girls tryin to get me. Yeah, thats kiddy garbage imo and meaningless to a point. There were alot of times however I wanted to be alone and have my own damn time to myself.
The whole girlfriend just went from then on I was always with a girl who was labeled my "girlfriend". Kinda sucks sometimes, but also makes you grow. I learned shit from all of them and got hurt by alot of them. There are girls who first names I cant recall and some whose last names I dont even know. (this waitress I met one time, had this blue dress on when she changed after work, holy shit) never went back to that place lol. Only saw her that night, got drunk had fun.
I guess what Im tryin to say is dont wish you have somebody when you dont. When you have somebody, dont wish you had someone else. The girl im with now, ive known for years. She was right in front of my face. I just kinda woke up one morning and was like holy fucking shit I love this girl. Been with her ever since and if all goes well and I dont fuck it up, I will be...who knows
Relationships are alot of work, hell yes. The end result however is FAR more satisfying than just "hooking up". Cheating on people is wrong, a lesson I learned plenty. Kinda makes me sound like an asshole, doesnt it? You gotta do what you gotta do. You are who you are, so trust you are exactly where you are meant to be.[/b]
I swear its like most of the time, Niro just sounds like the same person as me, cept he has a penis.
Yeah I'll be going to Nursing School next Spring or Next Fall Semester myself, and hopefully I'll meet some nice guys as well.Originally Posted by Nirokun!
I have to admit, while I do talk bad alot about relationships, I kinda wish I actually had one. I'll be 21 in three months and I've never had a boyfriend, the closest I have is my best friend really haha. It's kinda one of those things where you like someone (a friend) and you don't know if they like you back, but you don't want to say anything and have everything be awkward, ya know?
I've kinda given up to an extent, but not totally. I mean if something happens, I'm all for it, but I'm not actively looking anymore, just makes you kinda sad and hurt more =/
Well, like I said before Silver, Everyone has someone.
I'm sure you'll meet them.
Anyway i'm off to bed, /sick from galavanting around NYC.
Ta Ta~!![]()
Yeah I should get my butt into bed too, gotta work 8-5 tomorrow. Night guys, thanks for the interesting converstaions =p
This is what i want:
I want this guy to like me, the way i like him. I want it to magically work out, knowing that it never could because our situations wont work (we're in different countries for god's sake). But i know i dont want him to live the life i live.. I dont truly wish for straight people to be gay, i wouldnt wish that on someone i cared about, because its not fair to them to suddenly have feelings for someone they're 'not supposed to' be attracted to. Sucks for me.
I really want a healthy relationship, whatever that means. Long term, 1bf is all i want/need.
To Jeveh:
When you grow up feeling alone, feeling different; and when you grow older being alone, knowing you're different, the one thing you want is for someone to love you. I think (and maybe im just a naive bitch who needs to shut up) you're the one who doesnt know how to appreciate what you've had, big and small. I'd love to have had boys chase me in 6th grade, to have had "boyfriend"s with me all the time. I'd love to be able to go over stories with people about how i got hurt, got a nice hookup, fell in love --- but i cant say any of those things. I cant even hold a conversation without totally ruining it about stuff like this. It drags the whole good mood about it to the floor. Its not something I like to do, yet its not something i feel i should always sit in silence for. You should be grateful.
Everyone: Meet Silverbreeze, she's me, with boobies and a vagina. She's what you all pine for, gogo!
-1 lonely soul, good deed for the day![]()

words of wisdom. soak it in.Originally Posted by Ankiseth

I thought this was true but I've had some of the shittiest situations smack me in the face when I wasn't looking. Which led to years of BS and heartache.Originally Posted by Ankiseth
Oh believe me I have too, but it is almost certain to end badly if you are just trying to find someone, because then you settle or make yourself believe someone is right for you when they aren't, or something of that nature, so it really isn't preferred imo.
And Jeveh has a lot of wisdom, and I am sure it has because he's had more than a few psycho girlfriends and while they do make things hurt and almost give you regrets, you really do grow as a person from experiences like that.
Some nice words right there, Niro you really could learn a bit about appreciating what you have right now and not just pining for someone. Believe me, I spent many a year acting exactly like you do, and all it did was make me fall for the first person that would catch me. Only problem is they didn't keep holding on and boy did I crash.Originally Posted by Jeveh
So yeah, but I do understand why Niro says Jeveh should be lucky with his stories and stuff. I have quite a few interesting stories, and while they do involve lying and pain and heartbreak and all that horrible stuff, they still make for good stories and definitely make you grow as a person. I know for a fact if I didn't have my heart torn apart and gone through the crap I did I wouldn't appreciate my girlfriend for what she is and love her as much as I do. And btw Niro if you're ever bored and want to hear some stories, hit me up on AIM.
I had it stuck in my head that if I didn't try to look, I'd never have anyone else in my life. I've like.. never really been "single." I was with one guy for 4 years, got engaged, that whole gay thing. Only recently have I discovered that I don't need a guy to be happy in life. I stopped looking/pursuing guys after my last let-down and holy shit I feel great. I think I'll stick with this being single shit until some incredibly awesome guy finds me.Originally Posted by Julius

MSG me on aim sometime and let me know what's going on with you these days.
You guys think too hard about this stuff.
I will admit, everyone here earns merit points for talking about this stuff pubically. I go along reading (and for the most part agreeing/accepting/sympathizing with/etc), but I could never just type up a post and tell the entire forum about myself like that. =P
YOU HAVE THE COHONES THAT I DO NOT. Grats Setsuko, TAYLOR! =P
I still don't understand why SilverBreeze doesn't have some geeky guy that she met chasing after her.
Boggles the mind. Short (don't ask, just note that to me being short = cute), cute, funny, honest and quick to the point, and doesn't hold any punches back, likes to do lots of different things, but still has a love for gaming, computers, etc....
Just confuses the hell out of me. >.>;
What I want to ask a geeky girl is; Where the hell do I go to meet you?
Since you're a geek, you're probably at home watching some anime or playing some game, so how is it possible for someone like me to meet you and ask you out? The answer is; cyber.
The only way for me to meet you would be through an MMO or on AOL chat (lewl), and since the interweb is full of weirdos and pedophile molesters, the chances of me hooking up with an average geek girl who spends her free time on the net virtually impossible (excuse the pun).
So in the end, I still have no solid answer to my question, where the hell do I go to meet another geek of the opposite sex?
The interweb of course.

Agreed, that's pretty much what I'm doing right now, I figure I was trying to hard, so maybe if I stop looking so much that someone will run into me, or find me.Originally Posted by Setsuko
Yeah, well I'm the kind of person who's not afraid to talk about things, and be open with people. I mean, if everyone was scared to talk about themselves and their experience, then none of us would have received some of the good advice we have in this thread. Sharing experiences helps everyone really, as long as everyone is mature about it.Originally Posted by Epical
