In short, the analogy fails, because I was judging the community by it's own standards, ie, judging Arkansas by Arkansas standards. And strawmen arguments about numbers doesn't work either. This community is open to the public, so it must accept public criticism (rightly or wrongly).

You were getting on Maxx's case for empty meaningless posts, when the same is true for several of his detractors.

As I said before, I respect your opinion. Do you really want this forum to turn into Alla or KI? Do you want it being seen as a gathering place for elitists who pump large numbers over common sense?

I find a lot of what Maxx has to say about DRK to be inaccurate and meaningless. I just tend to ignore it. *shrug* If I were to say anything, it would be: "If you find that style of play to suit you, and go for it. My research has shown otherwise, so I'll stick with that." And yes, I find some of his posts stupid and meaningless. I'm merely saying that it's par for the course around here. Just ignore him.

DRK is a great job, it's the best DD on DL and can do absurd amounts of damage when equipped correctly, but with current game mechanics it can't straight DoT like a war. If you claim that you are a good DRK then understand the strengths and weakness'es of the job, understand it's utility and work on maximizing it's potential. Don't fight loosing battles that only drag yourself down.

The multiple times somone shows evidence about something, you never take it gracefully, you proceed to insult the person who had another view, or completly disreguard the evidence. Take the mistral axe , you said no ranged attacks stack with SA, I said mistral does, you said it's an animation, I said no it's not it actually is ranged and talked about it's low accuracy, then you had to try and feel better and said "well all MY warriors i party with never miss".

So even when you get proved wrong, you take it as something offensive, which is the dumbest thing ever. I honestly didn't know Mistral Axe was really ranged. In the end I cut that out, and said damn, I guess you're right, I just never experienced it being that I don't get to do stuff with BSTs much and WARs don't usually go out of ranged. Thats saying I'm wrong and giving a reason why I'm wrong. The missing thing was just because in my experience it doesn't miss much. If you are allowed to relay your experiences with it being inaccurate why am I not allowed to say mine of it being as accurate as other WSes. Has everything I've seen in FFXI just been some sort of glitch?

Not really. The things people 'prove me wrong on' are always either opinion, where I give my reasons for my opinion and others give their reasons so theres not much to prove about, or facts extrapolated from experiences, where due to the limited scope of any of our experiences tends to have some falseness to it. My experience of my guillo matching war rampages tends to get everybody else pissed off, but its what I've seen.
