COR doesn't have Elegy, and that is one of the only reasons BRD will not be replaced.
I can see COR, BRD, RDM, NIN + 2 DD parties though. EXP bonus, some cool trait, and Minuet x2.

I wonder how Cor/Rng would work in certian situations.Originally Posted by Kenai

Consider these questions:
How many heads/bodies can be equipped at once?
How many different heads/bodies does the PUP carry in their inventory?
How many ability items can be equipped per element?
How many ability items do you think a PUP can find to carry with them, per element?
How many ability items can be equipped total?
How many different ability items can acquired, overall?
We can hope that items equipped on your Maton are taken from your inventory until you unequip them. But even if that's the case, you still got all the other heads/bodies/ability items you aren't using at the moment, that you need to carry around.
The green ones are equipped. I'm not sure why Maxx thinks they disappear from your inventory. Does any other equipment disappear from your inventory when you put it on?![]()
It was just a hopeful guess...
Wait, look at the equipment list. Is it possible that the automaton has its own inventory? Because that sure as hell doesn't look like our normal inventory list.

pray that it somehow works like BLU spells and those "items" are independent of regular items.
there's no way any sane person can carry 20+ items for their puppet and still have good items for themselves with food, powders, oils, echo drops and stuff.
True, COR does not have Elegy, and we no next to nothing about those Card Debuffs, but 3 Support? That doesn't sound too good...Originally Posted by WizerdRemora
I can see manaburns and PL pts eating up COR's though. COR should be able to get away with subbing /NIN at least part of the time, I'll have to finish leveling mine when I can.
I'm also wondering about one other factor. What exactly will those Dice take to use? Will it be a slow cast like songs? It probably won't use MP...will it maybe use Dice or Cards or something? I know the Card Shot uses cards but idk...also...what kind of Stat will the Card debuffs be based off of? That might very well determine the types of subs a COR has later in the game.
Edit: About PUP...I thought PUP and Puppet both had seperate inventory slots? Similar to how they have different equip screens?
I wonder what level Paladin will get Auto Refresh because I've always thought BRD/PLD was a somewhat feasible combination and if they get it before 37 it would definitely be something to try.
I'm guessing 50+, but would be interesting to see it lower, to make pld a viable subjob.Originally Posted by Russta

i think you're wanting corsair to be a melee job or some form of DD job
it's not a melee/dd job, as far as i can tell, so subbing melee jobs to it would be rather pointless and not useful to a group
but thats just going off what i've seen so far, corsair doesn't look like a DD job, they use magical bullets to shoot out cards or something? am i reading this right? lol
I guess I was hoping that it wouldn't be a Brd clone. I would like to see a support job that can also do a decent amount of melee damage. It woudl be cool to see a Cor/War or /Rng doing decent damage.
Anyone know if they are adding pistol Weapon Skills? And will Pup have Mnk weapon skills? so many questions!!!
They seem to me to be similar to NIN in this sense: its a hybrid. It casts 'spells' but has good weaponry to deal damage as well.Originally Posted by Reality
My guess for subs is:
BLU/Anything (depends what you are using it for and what spells you have equipped)
COR/RNG (Its not that hard to figure out :wink
PUP/WAR (To enhance melee ability and fight alongside the puppet.)
I'm sure PUP will have H2H WSes, hell it already has martial arts.
I'm not sure if COR will get Marksmanship, but my guess is yes
Heres a question though: Will BLU be able to use Vorpal Blade or be stuck with utter shit WSes
COR is definately not designed to be DD, but I don't think it's a BRD clone either (even if you /whm).
I think BLU has shown itself to be a /WHM job.
1) It has MP, and a non-mage sub will gimp their MP pool.
2) Just as a BLM subs WHM (or sometimes RDM) because those are the most efficient subs, so will a BLU.
3) Unlike a RDM subbing BLM (because RDM main has elemental and enfeebling skill), a BLU subbing BLM would be retarded because they will not have elemental/enfeebling skills.
Therefore, the only effective sub for BLU is WHM. Especially if there's a cooldown on their better abilities, and during level ranges where their skill sets suck.
I wonder what Relic Weapons new jobs might use?
Would Corsair get to use that Annihilator? Wonder if its usefullness would raise it on list of upgrades if it does something on par w/ Relic Horn...
maybe corsair can equip silver bullets and has access to RNG-equippable guns (musketeer series, hellfire)
with a high marksmanship skill, they'd be uh.. another RNG job with party buffs
I have to level RNG sub now?! D: I leveled WHM sub for ToAU. Corsair can't use Slug Shot without RNG sub...?I hope not!
Did anyone notice the ToA site was updated? ;x
If I understand correctly, hexaguns aren't normal guns. I don't think COR is ranged DD...
