Actually, it's not. Cloth is used for virtually all light armors, mainly for monk/mage/ranger/thief. Blacksmithing for heavy armors and heavy weapons. Bonecraft's armor options blow chunks (yay carapace/scorpion/coral) but they have some rings and earrings, and bard instruments. In addition, all 3 of these crafts have at least one significant-volume JSE that they are the primary synther for.

Leathercraft is marginalized though, and sucks.

I'd rather people need to KILL THINGS to get that awesome gear, rather than rmt everything and still be amazingly well equipped. Sorry, but endgame rare/ex stuff should be better than crafted items.

If by "KILL THINGS" you mean waiting 3 hours just to see the best bot take a claim (because nothing is hard to kill, really), then I'd rather craft for gil and buy a piece of gear that is at the very least somewhat competitive with botted king gear.

With respect to limbus and dynamis, that can hardly be considered making big kills to get gear that in some cases crafted goods can't come close to. Unless of course you're talking about a shadow mantle/ring, which of course is different from killing that big, nasty "Vanguard Minstrel."

Then you have nothing to worry about as long as you're in FH, since you all still have the top 2 NA botters.

As for your bitching about no one buying your rings? Quit charging 200-500k more than the AH and other people on your Flame/Snow/etc rings in Rolanberry and they might actually sell faster.

The rings look overpriced because they get undercut so often in the auction house that I can't keep up with the prices in my bazaar. Choose not to speak on economic issues while you woodwork IRL; leave this one to the rest of us, thinking is not your strong point.

Perspective: this is a 3 (nearly 4) month period. I'm impressed at your newly acquired abililty to count. Now learn to divide those few claims over a time period and think about how that lowers rankings as far as your "best botter" accusations are concerned. Amen! I'm praying as a leather crafter with all these new Turban sets that leather gets some new seksi pieces to make, cuz i have regretted lvl'n leather since i hit 100 lol I mean i'm not going to sit here and cry, but that doesn't mean that crafters shouldn't want to see new synths lol

Also I wonder if they will add set bonuses back to older equipment? AF1, AF2, God Gear, crow set, whichever, it would be cool.

Hopefully NMs in oztroja and sea serpent grotto will mess up gilsellers more, I see the same ones there all the times. Making it a force pop would help unless the gilsellers could camp a ??? and trade to it or something stupid like that.

I really hope BLU, COR, and PUP could make for at least fun subs if not useful, same for allowing them to use different subs instead of just 1 or 2 like PLD/WAR..

Yeah, can't rmt it. God that sucks. You might have to actually have skill and a ls that doesn't blow. /sigh

Rare/Ex gear is putting crafting in a bad spot. Each update provides more and more reasons we shouldn't have leveled a craft.

Let's take 1 simple example:
Everyone receives a CoP ring after completing the missions. These rings are much better than any ring I can make. To everyone else, this is the best thing to ever happen to their job. To me, this represents four levels of rings I can't sell to that person (36, 54, 72, 74).

Just one piece of equipment strikes out that many of my possible transactions. Think of how many pieces of rare/ex gear were added in CoP alone and if that persists, why craft? I know I'm not alone when I say that dynamis and limbus combined are hard to compete with gearwise. I'm not saying I can't sit down and craft for gil, but SE shouldn't continue to marginalize our crafting efforts.

Yeah, I know alot of people went around with an empty ring slot, saving it til they got done with CoP. Its really easy to get all this stuff, no point in having gear in that spot for the time being.

Acquiring Blue Magic
Blue magic is acquired by “learning” the special abilities of monsters.

- You can only learn the special abilities of monsters when blue mage is set as your main job.
- You have a chance to acquire blue magic when defeating a monster that has used a learnable special ability.
- It is not possible to learn blue magic that is too far above your level.
- You will not acquire blue magic if you are KO'd when a monster is defeated, or the defeated monster does not yield experience points.


Better learn all those BLU abilities before you get too high and can never get them again.

As for the set equipment, I am really hoping that the "Set: Adds "Refresh" effect" and "Set: Enhances "Subtle Blow" effect" are somehow better than normal effects we'd usually see them as. When I first saw the Set gear I thought it'd be a different bonus on each item so that you could have a bunch of kewl things to look forward to from each piece of gear. But from it seems it's either going to be a simple extra bonus from all of them or hopefully, a huge bonus from each Set Equip.

Ex.
The 5 pieces of Yagit gear each contribute a Refresh Effect from their "Set: Adds "Refresh" effect" which would total to 5mp/tic. That'd be sex.

The 5 pieces of Yagit gear all culminate into one effect from their "Set: Adds "Refresh" effect" which would total to 1mp/tic. That'd be the gay.

All in all, based on the "infinite MP pool" they referred to, I'm really rooting for the 5mp/tic option. That'd be rape.
