    So, if I'm reading this right about COR...

    You can choose your dice rolls (the type of buff you want), but to be able to use them, you need to have the right job in the party? And a max of 2 going at the same time? And you need "Dice" like mages need scrolls?

    That sounds so fucking sexy. That clears up a LOT of things for me. No one else is excited they finally really explained the jobs? Man...I am.

    Now if I could just figure out what to think of Wild Card I'd be sold. This is going to be a summer full of late nights it looks like...

    Thinking out loud about the TP adjustment....

    This could be a boost or a bust:

    On one hand they were looking to reduce EVERYONE subbing ninja, might have adjusted TP dynamics when dual wielding (bad)

    On the other hand, if they add TP to melee and subtract from mob gain...that combats the idea of tossing tarus at Fafnir just because there's less wings to cure, and it would accomplish that goal without hitting BLM with the nerf stick (very very good)

    we shall see....

    Mobs should get the same amount of TP as us when we get hit. >

    Increases speed of hand-to-hand attacks.

    wonder if this stacks with Monks Martial arts when subed

    Speaking from a NIN and MNK standpoint....I hope they left the TP floor alone.

    Speaking from an outside person's standpoint...it's broken and should be removed.

    As for TP given to mobs, it would be nice if the TP the mob gains is based on how much damage your attack/spell/BP does. Let's say you hit Fafnir for 50 damage, he gets 1-2 TP. A BLM bursts for ~1600, he gets 25 tp (iuno, random numbers). It would help the balance issue a bit, even if it's not as much as we melee hoped for.

    Typically, if your alliance leaders leave your alliance and you made it, you'd still have the white dot next to your name as alliance leader. SE tried to fix this so that when you're party is alone, alliance status was lost. Obviously they didn't do it right. Now it works after you zone.

    - Things to consider when using Phantom Roll
    Characters with corsair set as a main job can have a maximum of two active Phantom Rolls, while those with corsair as a support job are limited to one active Phantom Roll effect.

    I can see a lot of potential in COR/BRD and BRD/CORs

    Edit: A character with the ability to use both Phantom Roll and bard songs is restricted to a maximum combination of two effects per party member.

    Mysterious Items
    There are several varieties of mysterious items, such as "??? swords," "??? gloves," and "??? rings." These items cannot be used or equipped until they have been appraised.





    Appraisers
    Appraisers may be found in towns such as Al Zahbi. Trade a mysterious item to an appraiser to learn its true name and features. After your find has been appraised, you will be able to equip or use it as a regular item.
    this caught my eye, are we looking at potential new "abjuration" items that could help decrease the overwhelming population at ground kings? /orgasm

    All existing job traits don't stack (so you get the highest value of the job trait between main and sj)

    Presumably thats the first level they get the job trait, and get increases at higher levels (at a slower rate than monk).

    Nah, thats the way the TP system was in my early import days. Blms could farm endlessly with earth crusher by hitting multiple mobs, and getting more then 100% tp back from it.

    They changed it after like a month, I doubt they would go back to it now.

    Monks usually don't break tp floor, nin's do a bit. But thf is the biggest tp floor abuser of jobs. If they broke that...my thf would definately be a lot weaker.

    The amount of TP accumulated when attacking a monster has changed for both the player and the monster.

    10 gil says that multi-hit weapons only deliver 1 TP on hits after the first.

    That hat looks nice but as for the set bonus... so what? There are already many mage tunics that grant that, + RDM hat, + the perpetuation cost reductions from various summoner items. The other peices are going to have to be utterly fucking awesome to make you want to equip the set. The MND is nice on the hat but I don't see enahnce fast cast, I don't seen enfeebling, I don't see elemental... it looks like a lose.
