I log in fine without windower, but it is too much of a habit for me to alt+tab out, and the colors are so dull without it

crash with windower...

i had the same issue as angelsin went in to microsoft and downloaded the directx 9.0 then went into the ffxi config changed my graphic settings and got on atm though it looks like pure shit.

reset your config settings in FFconfig and you can get in if you're having that Dierct 3D error

I updated with windower on and i can log in just fine. Using the regular POL desktop link.

I had to do a complete reinstall of the game (and windows xp) because i had a harddrive failure over the weekend. took 6 hours to get all the updates...and when it tries to install them a communication error occurs at 9000 files left to be installed. i don't fking get it. i'll try updating without windower enabled.

i have a friend who's crashing with a ati radeon 800x

i am crashing with a radeon x300 moblility

is anyone (not using windower) crashing with an nvidia card? i know one of my LS members has an ati card and is online... i'll try to see what model / driver version he has.
