1) there have been plenty of people that have been disrespectful who are still here, plenty of people who i don't like who are still here.

Which is prime example of me being kicked on grounds of being personally disliked by you. Amarok was right. Some people just let the power(lol) go to their head.

2) being disrespectful is different from purposely breaking rules to see if you can get away with it.

Yet people continually post against your so called "rules" in manner of either unacceptable content or format of their posts. Every thread I make, gets moved or deleted, while other threads, which are deemed "retarded" by populace go unmoderated at best.

3) there's a problem with taking action against someone who was disrespectful to you?

There's a problem when moderators have to remided of what their job is. There's a problem with taking action against someone who follows your so called "rules". There's a problem of being narrow minded individual when someone's is trying to point out the obvious faults of which you are either ignorant or simply stuborn to learn from. BUt they're not my problems, clearly they're yours.

I have only 1 problem, and that's listening to people who abuse authority or ignorant as to what to do with it.

It is a prime example of kicking someone that you don't like from your forum. Plain and simple. He disrepects you, you kick him. Expecially when its a direct attack on the mods thats doing the kickin! Its a long standing war between Hirro and the mods. I'm just one that's trying to get him out of BG jail!

Be glad that I am not an admin. Not only would I kick people for disrespecting my LS and/or me, I would kick people for just being annoying.

i've never banned someone because i didn't like them. Xavier has though and so has Bert.

1) there are so few rules most things get through, that's the way people like it. so this "continually" stuff is BS. most posts you think should be moderated i don't think should be moderated. most of the rules are subjective. i'm lenient with most of the rules because being strict would get rid of most of the regulars, they bend the rules much much more than the noobs.

2) unacceptable content that i see is taken care of. i've said it a dozen times, unacceptable content i don't see, i can't do anything about.

how many times have you sent me a PM linking me to a post/thread/person that should be taken care of directly?

people who PM me with specific problems i respond to because i'm capable of responding to those, PMs of that type though come about once a month.

you only know your own threads that are moved and deleted, you have no idea how many others are moved/deleted. if you want to pretend that nothing else gets moved or deleted you are free to do so, but other people will tell you otherwise.

i don't deny that this forum has less moderation than needed for the traffic it generates but to fulfill your statement, it would infer that at one time this forum had good/adequate moderation.

according to some people the "golden era" of these forums was when there was no moderation at all. when the only moderation was Bert banning Wildkat for posting senseless rants. when FFXI Talk and General Discussion was all mixed up together, when looking for a thread about Dynamis involved going through a half dozen Chuch Norris, Vin Diesel, Equillibrium threads.

there are 2 variables to the problem.
1) amount of traffic
2) amount of moderation

#1 can't be controlled by individuals. and contrary to what you believe #2 can't be controlled either.

because this is ultimately still an LS forum, the moderation structure here is adequate for an LS forum. the moderation here is definitely not adequate for a large community forum, but the structure of these forums can not be changed.

neither you nor i have the ability to make this into a community forum. your constant whining about it means you don't understand the problem.

it's like living on an island and complaining about having to eat fish. no matter how much you whine, this will not stop being an LS forum, that is the root of the problem.

and because the root of the problem can't be changed, the only thing people can do is to stop coming here. posting useless threads as demonstration serves no purpose.

a threat isn't the same as an action, it's a direct way of informing someone of something they didn't know. i can threaten all day and not be abusing powers if i don't act on the threats.

and the threat served it's purpose wonderfully, the guy stopped talking about something he didn't know anything about.

a lot of rules, laws even are there just to serve as a deterrent, if they deter enough people they have already served their purpose. but all the rules are there for a reason, because people would abuse them if they weren't there.

I made a thread drawing everyone's attention to the problem and people have responded. Has anything been done about it? Yes. I was banned instead, even after large number of people frequenting these forums have backed me up.

Yes, it did start out as your LS forums, but it has grown into bigger thing than it probably was intended and with that the load of work on Mods I can imagine has doubled, but if you can't handle the repsonsibility, than maybe you should revert back to the format it was, i.e. LS forum. I'm not telling you how or what to do, just mearly stating my opinion of how I percieve these boards as "regular".

And Xavier, you seem to have mature way of dealing with problems that arise. Ban the person and be done with it. gg buddy

Personally, I would like to see Septimus as a moderator of these boards. It has a great potential of erradicating needless posts which give no input other than retarded comments which have no relavance to the topic at hand.
