Toss the relic horn bard in a 5 BLM party and they will crank out more than enough damage to outdo his every once in a while 3000 SC with the extra MP gained. Or put the bard with melees, and with some minuet merits I believe we would see some large numbers there too. I'm not saying the weapons suck, I'm just saying that it is proven to be more helpful for an LS in the endgame to do horn, than trying to Viagra someone's e-peen by spending so much currency on a weapon.

I still love to see people do the weapons, if they do it with the right attitude, if it's more about the accomplishment of the LS then by all means go for it. I really hope Epigram is able to get his axe, he has done the math and even has a mission statement, with variables in the market accounted for, and has figured out how long, almost exactly, it will take him to get his completed. Someone with that kind of dedication is deserving of a relic weapon.

Really though if it's your own gil it doesn't matter if your upgrading a relic dildo. If it's your ls sponsoring someone completely then go with a shield or horn; now if it's a partial sponsor, sponsor someone who can complete it.

I'm upgrading an Axe, It will never be used against a real hnm because I don't fight any real hnm. I do dynamis with 18 people and have a lot of fun. I've spent around 350mil gil so far on it and will spend a lot more before its done. Its the best axe I can get for the only job I really play so I don't see the issue. I'll have stage 4 in July, and I'm sure Arunja will have his done before the end of the year so we will see how it turns out

you can get minuet +2 with a 30k cornette+1..Sure put a bard in a party with 5 blms with +7mp/tick they will do damage but blms cant overnuke anyway or they will die so its whatever..The ony thing it will do really is give you the advantage of not subbing out blms..

Are cloudxx and rav still working theirs in PM? I'm not sure where most of the old PM people are. Rav said he was going to be done with currency by the end of the year for his scythe but even though he has the gil there just isn't that much out there to buy, especially tuku.

use PLD/NINs as main healers if you want to know the true power of 7 MP/tic Ballads.

and BLMs rarely overnuke in Dynamis, Limbus, Vrtra adds, Merits.

And @ Veli: I wouldn't go so far as to say horn > relic weapons. Like I said, if you are an LS leader and you want to sponsor a relic that will benefit your LS more as a whole, Horn is the way to go, and will cause less drama, since everyone in the LS will benefit from it.

Probably has to do with WAR parsing higher with Ridill then Bravura, and an E-Bow doing more damage then a Relic Gun. Just one of many examples.

Lol with all of that, I really cant see a point in NIN subbing anything but WHM. Sure it'll take a little longer to build up hate, but the constant Curaga spamming alone would just up the hate threshold to an insane limit.

I really wanted GKT to work on HNM, but it wasn't good enough. Neither is gun or bow.. both on Ifrit also. THF has Mandau and it suck ass horribly on HNM also. Relic should be godly on HNM end game mobs, but in the end you are paying with time to extend someone elses epenis... even with horn. At least horn will effect the efficency of 5 other people...

Jesus christ, Relic is an achievement no matter what. You dont NEED it for ANYTHING (well maybe all relic weapons at once kills AV...) Its something to get if you want the best of the best.

A HNMls only exists to cater to its members, without its members it doesn't exist. Therefore, instead of focusing on 'powering up the ls' doesn't it make more sense to help the individuals achieve their goals?

And don't give me 'BUT THEY'LL LEAVE' crap. If a HNMls is truly helping a person and improving the game for him/her, that person will stay.
