Why do ppl say the first NPC is in bastok markets when SE has already said that the expansion features were NOT available til ToAU went live? The NPC was already accessible before ToAU. All previous expansion job starting NPCs have been in expansion areas only (SMN SAM NIN). Would be wierd for SE to make expansion job starting NPCs accessible to ppl that don't have the expansion.

Can anyone get the quest without talking to the NPC in bastok?

Er... Smn wasn't officially in the expansion I believe... DRG SAM NIN? <.> Regardless, the npc in bastok gives you a CS and tells you to go to the next npc. It doesn't flag quest, so I bet we'll find out sooner or later if its required.

While the NPC might be accessable, the quest most likely is not.

Edit: And yes, summoner wasn't in the expansion, only the avatars. Summoner quest is in Windy...

Then did ppl RE-talk to the NPC in bastok after ToAU went live? If the quest wasn't available then talking to that NPC before ToAU went live would do nothing. Much like the boat pass NPC.

you NEED to have talked to the Bastok NPC to get a response from Iruki...

he mentions the bastok NPC by name "????? sent you here? (i forgot name tbh)...

That NPC is the trigger, and you could do it before ToA went live... live with it!

how do u go to reef?

take ship in whitegate to Nashmira, take North exit to Caedavera Mire

use /echo <pos> and head to I-6, zone there
