How does one reach the Dvucca Isle staging point? The rest have been pretty easy so far but no maps I'm finding online inform me on connections between any reef zone and Periqia.
edit: nvm found it...Appapago Reef can chow on a big bowl of my nuts.

Ugh.... 0/4 on Cavern. Drop rate was horrid on mines for some reasons. We got lucky on first, cleared the top wall. Then killed every other rat with no mine drop. We then melee'd up a wall. Killed one rat, got mine. Killed next rat, no mine. Killed final rat, got mine. However, even after we sent someone out when starting to fight final rat, they didn't reach the point in time(or better said: in time to click it). So we lost ._.; Horrible drop rate that run.
wee!! not sure if this is posted yet and I'm too lazy to read through this but you can do assault again wihtout using another I.D. tag if you lose as long as you don't leave the staging grounds back to the city.
well.. it was before.. but we invited another person and that changed it.. or so it seems
Holy shit is this true? You can keep trying until you win?Originally Posted by Elemmire

just beat dvucca :D rank up mother fucker!
no new missions, 5 new assaults![]()
Some of the 2nd-level assault missions sound pretty cool. The Ilrusi Atoll mission is to beat Lamia No. 13 heh. Mamook one is a pre-emptive strike on Mamool Ja assassins. They sound a lot better than the first five, can't wait.
After trying to decypher that guys post for a while while we were doing the Assault, I think we may have figured it out.Originally Posted by zymurgy
When Excaliace originally starts running he moves towards the end. If at any point you get too far away he'll speed off back toward the entrance. Once you get him running stay pretty close to him until he stops. Once he stops back off a bit and let him run again, he'll continue toward the end as long as you stay close enough to him.
When he encounters monsters, he'll take off the other way back to the beginning. I'm not positive on how to stop him, but what we've been doing is having a few people get in his way as much as possible. He'll eventually stop...there could be a better way but I haven't found one. When he's stopped, have 1 person stay with him and the rest of the group go kill the monsters. If the person pulls back off him and lets him go while the monsters are still alive and he runs into them again, he'll take off running toward the beginning again, so keep him stopped until the monsters are dead.
I'm not positive if staying on top of him/close to him does actually stop him from running, but I guess it couldn't hurt. When he does take off back to the start he usually runs faster than everyone else, and he only stopped when he was out of breath. We didn't figure all this out till there was like 10 minutes left so we didn't win, but we'll prolly get it next time.

Second time, we did in the order of Wall 1, 3, 4, 5, and saved 2 for last, since there are no more mobs behind it. We got a bomb to drop on every Qiqrin that time, and with a NIN NIN WAR WHM BRD setup finished with 5mins left. One person headed back towards start while the person with the bomb went for the last wall. 1200 points with 5 ppl for non-leader.
Omg i dindt say this like 3 pages back did i?Originally Posted by BRP
Oh Snap i did. -.-
but its horribly horribly unreliable.
way i won was 4 dd (3war1mnk) and a whm.
zerg te first rock (hundred fists/mighty strikes)
then kill rats but make sure whoever got a mine disnegages at 10%
blow all the walls up
win
Really nice info here =)
Does anybody know how to get a different missions at the same Staging point?
I did Mamool Imperial Agent Rescue twice now and I still can't get a different assault mission there, it only shows that one as the only one available. Do I have to do something to get more? are there even any more assaults for that area?
nvm, I figured it out. You have to do certain quests to increase your standing as a mercenary. One quest from the president is so you become a First class mercenary, and another quest is to become a Superior Private Class mercenary.
However, I don't know how to start these quests since every time I speak to the president she just tells me to go to work.
probably need to clear every unique Assault currently available.
maybe you should do what she says thenOriginally Posted by Beltran
Read the previous page for how people got access to new assaults.
Why do I get the feeling that this is what SE is patching today ??Originally Posted by Elemmire
Ugh... i gotta do all 5 then. I have no problem in doing them, i soloed all my staging points (except my first one). It's just hard finding people that have all staging points, most people I know have like 2/5 or 3/5Originally Posted by zymurgy
A large part of what I've been doing for the past few days is helping my friends get all staging points so that we can all do any assault zone.
Now I've got to convince them to clear the various assaults; 2/5 complete, but some people want to "farm AP" to get the items. I want to open the second-teir!
Tell them tier2 gives double AP? It might not be true but it's motivation at least.Originally Posted by aurik
I'm about to do Mamool, and I want to win for sure. Does any frontal AoE work(Staff, Axe, fireball?) on a NIN... with or without spamming gear switch? Can the NPC not be behind a gate or is it 100% no matter what?
