EXP mob/area speculations

I'm not sure what level it would be good but C-8 of Wajoam Woods, around the Ghuluf Watchtower, looked like it had some potential if the Grubs and Tigers (and perhaps even the new Giant things) are about the same level and 5 min repops. There's even a zone to Halvung if the shit hits the fan.

This was highest we got in Caederva Mire, right outside the Azouph Isle Staging Point, next fight an Imp Sleepga IIed us and fucked it all up.

This is an excellent spot, we got chain 125 there, its so easy to get an infinite chain. Our bard died pulling once around chain ~40 and we raised up and kept going, only stopped because we were hungry :S

Mamook : VT-IT Mamools behind the ebony door, they have true sight. requires a M.Tanscale key to enter the ebony door. Great exp

Mount Zhayolm : Behind the Halvung Gate walk up to Cerberus and take a right turn and walk inside until you see the Red shadow dragons, alittle further inside there are tons of those mobs that drop the cocoon, not sure if its good or not tho, but ive seen a party there exping.

A thf friend and I (rdm) were able to duo these VT imps quite easily and would have been much better if we had our sanction signet on and I would have subbed whm for erasing that stupid can't use ja move they do. Otherwise, silence, haste on the thf, full debuffs and let the thf (you could sub war/nin, mnk/nin, nin/war, anything with shadows or replace the rdm with brd or even whm) eat away at it. Pretty easy for their con if you ask me.

Can't erase Amnesia unfortunately, you just gotta sit it out and hope you don't pull hate by overcuring (Although pulling hate on these weak ass Imps isn't really that big a deal considering you can Silence them so easily)

Best thing about this thread is there's like 3 different camps represented where people can unlimited-chain and none of them were the one we were at. There's yet another spot that supports 2 full parties, both of which can endless chain as long as there's no duo'ers sniping Imps from your group.

At Mamool Ja Staging Grounds we were literally able to camp right on top of another party (we had to stop awhile so one of the BRDs could get dinner, and another party showed up on top of us), and besides a little extra lag both parties could still chain the living hell out of the area since repops are so damn fast.

At it's peak we saw I think 4 parties there at once and everyone still seemed to be chaining just fine

What I love about the new areas too is that they're SO EASY to merit in. Especially the mamool ja area, its way easier than deco weapons. Was meriting again there yesterday and there was a second party, and the only "problem" was fighting over mamool spawns for big xp/kill (even though that doesn't really matter anyways because puks die in 30 seconds or less).

Has anybody run across any areas where a BLM can get decent XP soloing, like in northern Al'Taieu? I need to get level 75 back; I lost around 8600 xp yesterday just running around attuning myself to rune portals and forgetting to recast sneak/invis. Also from the fleas. Damn those fleas. I hate those fleas.

I swear I remember reading a post on this topic yesterday, but I can't seem to find it again.

West of the Rat town, there are a bunch of birds and nothing else agros right outside of town. There are like 10 of them and they have the same attacks as flamingos. EP at 75, a party of 3 lvl 75 got 21 xp off of them.

Solo'd as 75 RDM got 45 XP and these are Aspirable.

I was able to solo the Toucans in Wajaom Woods just outside of town as 60 nin. They were 63-65 I believe. They don't link OR aggro, and they only have these TP moves:

Feather Tickle, reset single-target TP to 0
Steal Morsel, dispel food affect (or maybe absorb food affect?)
Pecking Flurry, low damage 3-5 strike attack (not sure just how many)

They also don't double attack and have relatively low defense. You could make a sick pt on these at 53-55 I bet.

If you go out the north Door by the north ferry, there were about 4 tucans that popped EM/DC to me @65 and spiders spawning EM, I soloed about 500 Imperial standing it was hot. 8)

Use cheap food (or no food). I can see a pld going without food here, or using boiled crayfish/fish mithkabob from a vendor. A ninja could go with meat jerky (110g each), though I was using Sis Kebabis. Not significantly more expensive than the tools I was using.

why would anyone do this? If the summons are EM-VT to a 71, the marid must be IT, how would the ninja hold it in place without any difficulty. Why would you put a ninja and pld in a pt? Roaming > pulling a mob and holding it and killing its summons. You're looking at 1-3k xp an hr with lots of deaths at your level, and a waste of time to a pt of 75's. Compared to a 10k-20k xp an hr pt, no thx.
