New Quest discussion (non-job)

Start the quest in F-8, by talking to the Elvaan and the Mithra standing next to the post there, the Mithra will ask for "Luminous Water" (I think, going off memory here). This is your cue to go talk to the mithra in H-6, by the dock. You DON'T want the cutscene with the Elvaan rolling dice, talk to her again to get a CS where she says she thinks the "ornamented Elvaan" is cute. Go back and talk to the Elvaan, then go talk to the dock mithra again. Then, once again, return to the pigtail mithra by the post in F-8. Speak to her (and maybe the elvaan) until she tells you about an old woman who's making her a potion. You may have to talk to her or her elvaan friend again after this, the text you want to see is "I wonder how that old woman is coming along with my potion."

Run to the lower level of J-10, as you pass the elvaan in the Errant coat you should trigger a cutscene. After this CS, run back to the post in F-8 and talk to the Elvaan/Mithra again. After CS, you should be getting text-only answers from all three NPCs. To activate the next CS, zone out (and possibly wait an in-game day, I unlocked COR between these two parts). Then talk to the pigtailed mithra in F-8. She'll tell you about her trip and give you a reward.

NOTE: If for some reason I'm missing a step, the key thing to remember is aside from the bridge at J-10, the whole quest is 3 NPCs. Just rotate between them until you get a CS.

Ok thanks for all this but i have trouble with this. At the point you say you don't know if you need to wait for a vana'diel day, i waited a full real life day, talked again to all 3 NPCs, nothing. She's not giving any reward or talking about the quest anymore. Any clue ?

I haven't waited full day yet, but am also not getting past the "text-only response" stage. I don't think you people understand how many crabs I fight, and how badly I need this.

First picture he wants is of the volcano in the distance.

Go to E-6 of Wajaom Woodlands, you'll find a ??? which is now active for you.

Important - bring a LIGHT crystal for taking photos
He doesnt tell you to bring a light crystal untill you run all the way out, then come back.

Thing is, i've been waiting forever and I cant seem to get the picture. Anytime I try to take a snapshot it says :

"Lordwafik thinks back on Balakaf's words.
...Perhaps this is not the best time to record a picture."

I even waited till the volcano ejaculated. Im gonna wait all day I guess. Sunrise is over, there's midday / afternoon / sunset left. If I dont get the picture soon i guess i'll just wait till there's more information on when the pic needs taking.

lol nice - i havent figuered this one out either. Wafik do you think there is another NPC we are missing before we venture out? I havent tried the different times of days yet i didnt think of it. Got rushed to an assault that we wasted 2hours not finding.

I got this quest, it's from a ??? hole near the shore. Zurtermor is a troll/orc/gigas mob thing that I don't remember the name of. I gave him a pickaxe and he said it was too small. wtf? Is there anything in the game data that would suggest a larger new pickaxe or maybe one of those troll weapon thingies? I dont remember if its a troll or not I dont remember thier mob type name. XD

I've been getting the text answer from all three and it's been 10+ hours and I'm still not completing the quest. pigtail mithra just says she can't think of anything for me to get, elvaan says he needs a potion too, and the mithra by the port says she can't believe she was obsessed.

I only remember cause it was one of the first quests I unlocked while I was still awake and can recall some of the dialog. If the woods are like the meadows, fog rolls in somewhere between 2-7 in the mornings.

Also I found another ??? that could be related to this quest, it's in Mount Zthinger, on the way to getting to the Staging Point.

If anyone finds some ??? near obscure scenery, take note of it because it may be related to this quest.

Anyone else got Two Horn the Savage?

I got it from Milazahn (Balrahn Way, Art Urhgan Whitegate). Then while working on a mission, I ended up accidentally getting another CS for this quest from the lil rat-lookin guy who sells information. Some cute lil taru appeared and said to go to Mamook.

I haven't gone there since I got the second cutscene (Mamook is pretty awesome, by the way), but the taru told me she'd meet me there. Escort quest maybe? If I get some time I'll take another run down there and see what's goin on, but anyone with info on stuff/people I should bring would be helpful too. :D

I'm also having issues with the Bibiki seashell quest, but an ls member told me that he went to bed after doing the quest and got the item the next morning, so I'm going to try it again once I get home from work.

For the Two horn quest, after you get to mamook a good way in there is a device that usually turns you into a mamook in costume but this one triggers a cs and a fight with a mamool ja. He was about DC at 75 solo. I returned to quest npc for a mythril coin reward.

I did Give Peace a Chance last night. From the homepoint in Whitegate, run up the step right in front of you and talk to the Elvaan NPC with Barone Body (can't remember his name, starts with an M). He'll tell you he wants you do go see what one of his soilders is up to.

Once it's night, walk out to the Woodlands and look for a ??? near K-7 (I walked the whole zone and then found out it was right near the entrance >_>). You should get a CS. Go back to the Elvaan NPC and he'll tell you that you now need to go to Mamook. Zone into Mamook at E-12 in the Woodlands. Once you walk ahead a little you should see a ???. Click it for a CS (;'_'. Now go back to Whitegate, speak with the Elvaan, and get your reward - A silver piece.
