My friend and I were on this quest. In Bhaflau he used a harvesting sickle I guess and spawned some Berry Chigoes. NMs. They killed him :/ Maybe has something to do with it?Traded him a Pamama and got a CS. Wow, mobs spawned when you harvested!? Evil o.o! I'll have to get a group together to try it... in the morning.
What Friends are For
Client: Tsetseroon (Junk Seller, Nashmau)
Summary:
Tsetseroon needs a cobalt jellyfish
and a chunk of tin ore to make his
special stew.
To start this go to G-10 in Aydeewa Subterrane map 3, shown on ffxi-atlas.com. You see a short cutscene, then you can flag this quest.
Go to Nashmau and talk to Tsetseroon. He's to the left of the northernmost exit to Caedarva Mire. Talking to him triggers a cutscene, which wraps up by him asking you for a Tin Ore and a Cobalt Jellyfish. Walk to the docks and buy these items. Should be in stock, no problem. Once you give them to him you'll receive key item: Pot of Tsetseroon's Stew (or something like that)
Now, you gotta make your way to Aydeewa Subterrane. You gotta take kind of a roundabout path, so here you go. You're gonna need at least a stack of sneak/invis items if you're not a mage. Note that there are bombs in Halvung, so you'll need some prism powders or tonko so as not to take magic aggro.
(Note: I used http://ffxi-atlas.com maps to help me with this.)
First, go to Bhaflau Thickets and enter Halvung from F-8. Once in Halvung, you're going to head mainly southwest. Keep heading in this direction and you will pass a few rock bridges going over lava, find yourself in a big cavern with lava in the middle, etc. Keep heading southwest. You'll come to a Bronze gate. No need for a key, just open it. After passing through this bronze gate, you'll come to a fork. To the west is a bronze gate, don't go that way. Go east. Soon you'll come to yet another fork. A bronze gate will be ot the east, don't go east. Go west instead. Head southwest once again and you'll come to another bronze gate, proceed through, and continue heading straight south, and follow to path and you'll be in Aydeewah Subterrane.
If by now you're looking at the FFXI atlas maps on that aforementioned website, you'll be on the 3rd map from the top. Put sneak and invis up right away in here because there's Chigoes and they'll aggro you. They hit fast, and most of the time attack in a group. You cannot see their names until they aggro, but you can see their actual bodies. They're very tiny. Basically hug the right wall all the way in. You'll pass through a circular room filled with water and funguars, then find yourself in a big open room filled with tigers and more chigoes. Hug the right wall and you'll come to a large set of stone steps in front of some kinda altar or a temple. You'll see a short cutscene as you approach, and it will drop you out of invisible. Be careful. Climb up the stairs and click the ??? at the very top. Cutscene, then a dialoge choice appears. Your options are "Yes." and "I'm not a thief." I picked yes, I dunno if it matters or not. But since this is FFXI, probably doens't. After the cutscene is over, quest is complete.
Prize: Map of Aydeewa Subterrane.
This walkthrough is long, and wrong. I just did this quest myself, read the thread I posted.
Eh, worked for me. Anyone can use it if they wanna. Guess I got this map the "wrong" way, huh? lawl.
Read my post, there's a much easier way to do it, and you left out a crucial part at the beginning. Also, the end you marked is NOT the end of the quest.
@Pyro, for two horn quest.... it was the SW most entrance to mamook from wajaom.... and i dont remember where in mamook the device was, but we were fairly far in, not past in any doors though; I decided to touch it when i ran outa ideas for where to go and wanted to try to touch one of the pots in the open as a mamook to see what would happen, but popped the nm instead.
If it helps, the device was located at the middle of a "T' intersection with puk on one side, oozeson other, and mamook on the other for anyone with a map. Inside a cave also.
Mathlouq in the Alchemist's Guild says he's "Busy preparing a recipe for a strange old woman" I think this guy might be the next step for "Got it all"
umm Tsetseroon only says... "Tsetseroon so lonely...." and thats it... whats up with that?
Does anyone have any idea where you're supposed to go in the Woodlands to complete the Totoroon's Treasure Hunt quest?
the "something sweet" is white honey, drops from the bees outside town
I tried trading him white honey and it didn't work. I gave him a Pamama and he said to go look in Bhaflau thickets.
You need to get the CS in Aydeewa before he will give you the quest.Originally Posted by KeitsukiTakahashi

A farther quest in the chain with that Taru by the fountain (The one with the Groceries) involves that pumpkin headed guy disappearing. You zone into the Alchemy guild and that kid asks you to get some kind of berries. It's not in my log anymore, but someone mentioned the "Berry Chigoes" in the Thicket. I'm hitting up every Harvesting Point I can trying to pop them cause I think they are for this quest. Any idea where the Harvesting point was that popped them? So far I'm just getting normal harvesting crap...
Edit: nvm, found it on Mysterytour
As an aside about this quest series, that kid's mom cracks me up.Originally Posted by Sylvrdragon
The quest for the Aydeewa map took soooooo fucking long to complete but that zone is pretty damn big so I guess it was worth it. A bonus free weeks mog locker access isn't bad either. When we had to go back to Nashmau the first time we just missed the boat and had to wait 10 mins for it to come, 7 in the dock, 10 to get there. 27 minutes just to zone is absurd and needs to be sorted out.
Was finally able to take a picture of the volcano. Here's a picture of the conditions outside. Also just to note is that it had just switched from Wind weather to clear weather, and I mean I had actually hit the trade option when the Wind weather icon was still up. It went away while I was taking the picture.

I was given a choice between three different scenes. I picked the second scene and a friend of mine picked the third scene. When we went back to the old guy he said that he "couldn't remember this" to both of us and took back the image recorder until he could get a new shipment of Ahriman Lenses.
Im not sure if I need to go farm one or just wait a day for a new image recorder. I've got Dynamis at the moment so I'll try again tomorrow or something.
