Is there a good Finding Faults collection of info anywhere?

Speaking of which, is there a nice mindless guide for the quest to get Mount Zhayolm map? My set party is destroying my free time so I just wanna be able to do it swiftly.

Grab a pickaxe and a mythril pick, zone into halvung from next to town bh.tickets, and escape. That puts you next to a couple of ??? targets.
Check one right next to you and you get a CS about a pickaxe. trade it. then zone, return, trade other pick. You get the map. Done. Should take about 5min total.

About finding faults, supposedly the answers keep changing each time so it's hard to have an actual guide to a right answer, perhaps the 'intimidated by' is the signal to tell you which weakness it is each time..
For just ??? positions of NM pops for it etc, ffxi wikipedia has that part right last i checked.

After you complete the quest and again wait until midnight jst he will tell you that on his travels he dropped a fair amount 'o gold. At this point you can revisit the ???'s, one of them will will give you _an_ imp. gold coin (Mire for me).

i've scanned this thread a few times previously, so i hope i didn't miss this earlier.

Is there a sort of fame system related to the new areas? i remember clearly after getting my first two 2nd tier assaults out of the way, Naja went on about me being a sluggard, and needing to get my heads out of the clouds, while her assistant mentioned i was somewhere below 'halfway'.

Coming back from exping on imps, i trade my 1 1/2 stacks of imp wings in for the 200g quest and strangely Naja's opinion of me seems to have changed, not to mention her assistant says i've finally pulled myself up to halfway. Any thoughts on it? It'd be a dream come true if it were possible to get my mercenary rank up without having to try my luck with Lebros Supplies..

The opinion message that Naja says seems to be related to how many ID tags you have. When you use up your last one, she will say a negative message about being lazy etc. As soon as one of your ID tags recharges, the message changes (i am not sure if it has to be there or you have to have it on, i think it has to be there at the counter).
Fame from imp wings doesn't really seem to change assault promotion. I traded a few stacks and saw no difference. The evaluation and rank ups seem to all be based on new missions won, and then in a minor way on number of old ones won (you can get rank 3 SP even without all 5 rank2 assaults, if you win enough repeated assaults to make up for it, like 5 to 1 ratio).

Lebros Supplies really isn't that bad. You just need two pairs of Powder Boots each. >.<

My group has been trying a few times and hasn't been able to do it. We have powder boots, hermes quenchers, and movement speed gear (e.g. 3 NIN + RDM, and we do it right at dusk so the NINs can do their thing). And we all sub THF.

The only thing I can think of that we can do better is get 2 more people to help us. But every assault can be done with 3-6 people, right?

As far as Lebros Supplies goes, it's probably something to do with the food having different "fill values". From my own experience, giving two steaks to an NPC filled him up, while it took 5 strips of jerky/bread to fill up another.

If there's a way to strongarm the Supply NPC into giving you high-value food (we know you can't eat it, but can you drop it?), then it'll probably be much easier to finish Lebros Supplies with a smaller amount of people.

Wehn I droped the soup/bread i always got it back when I talked to the NPC again.

Edit: It could be completely random on the type of food you get..for instance
There are 12 NPC's and each takes 10 points to fill up.
When you enter the NPC auto-loads a complete list of foods that adds up to 120 points.. whether that is all steaks or all bread is the random factor.
And then it just works its way down a list which is why when you drop a piece of food you get it right back since it gets re-added to the list again.

New quest: Striking a Balance

Start NPC: Wazyih (first floor, right from Mog House exit in Aht Urhgan Whitegate)

1. Talk to Wazyih (F-11)
2. Talk to Saliyahf (G-7, SE corner)
3. Talk to Wazyih (F-11) (maybe not necessary)
4. Go to Balrahn Way, F-9, somewhere in the middle between 2 shops with food, it should trigger a cutscene
5. Talk to Saliyahf (G-7, SE corner)
6. Talk to Wazyih (F-11)
7. Go to Al-Zahbi and make your way to AH from MH - in the passage target " " - and get key item
8. Bring key item to Wazyih
9. Talk to Saliyahf (G-7, SE corner)

Reward: 3x Imp.Bronze Piece

The " " seems like it can be anywhere. When I got it it was at (G-7) in the water, and moved after I got it.

Not meaning to "necrobump", but has anyone found information on the quest "The Art of War"? It's started by the same NPC that gives the "Finding Faults" quest.

The only logical conclusion I can come to, is maybe by "completing" Finding Faults by getting the two weaknesses right for each of the Beastmen? Obviously this would take 3 weeks minimum to finish, even longer if you get any wrong...

The quest will probably involve you killing the Ornery Orobon, Carpophagous Puk, and Wheel Wamoura in the .dats that haven't been found yet.
