Rock on not knowing a much better spell set for auto-refresh and not having reading comprehension skills. Based on your last few posts I may as well stick with minne and not listen to any of the garbage you have to post.

Sorry buddy, my setup is 45/45. I dont have the point to waste on self destruct for lol2str. Because you know, I do things besides resting for 3 minutes while tiamat is on the ground.

But dont worry, it doesnt hurt me any.

Next time i'm not tanking, i'll swap a brd out of the tank party and have him give me minnes ^-^;

I've actually bested my damage in my sig also (not by great measures but still more), but alas didn't really care to save it, large numbers for me have become fairly commonplace. And our shell actually puts melees on tiamat while hes on the ground, so as long as I can put roar on him they're happy and I'm not useless. Diamondhide is useless unless you're in the tank party, your alliance should be positioned correctly where people aren't being blasted by aoe. Temp shift is useless unless you like wasting 5 points on a 1:15 stun timer when other jobs can stun far more regularly.

Doesn't hurt me any either, you wanna half-ass your DDing and your support abilities at the same time feel free.

(Edit: I'll mention that the spells I'm debating the usefulness of in this scnenario are not bad spells at all, and I do set them for many other events. This includes some Tiamats, generally when we have first pulled and some form of healing/other assistance is needed, but once everything is set ins tone and we start to lay into him I'm no longer needed as a support job. I guess I'm just fortunate that the mages in my shell dont need me to set an aoe stoneskin or stun spell or else all hope is lost!)

Let me put it this way: There is more than one way to skin a cat. If all BLUs were the same, then FFXI would be a really boring place. SE created BLU, at least from what I think, to be a unique mage|melee. So what if you do things differently, the main goal is to kill whatever gets in your way. Seems to me you both produce the same results, with different ideas and setups.

I can't beleive you're stupid enough to not stack str spells. Oh wait nevermind, you are.

If you're in a cannonball set on certain mobs like Tiamat, Kirin, or KB, what other spells do you need. Gonna set a healing spell? If you have mages with you, why? Tell me what you're gonna set.

If I'm doing things other than those three mobs I have other spells set. I do some ls events as blu/whm and have totally different spells set. We're talking a cannonball set only, if you're so confident in STR being so powerful you should try setting some str spells and let support jobs cast their support spells.

Edit: Good job making yourself look retarded, I clearly stated where my last 2 str comes from.

Oh i dont know, how about Frightful Roar for -10% target defense... instead of 1str? Raise your pDif and weaken the enemy for others at the same time.

How about Firespit+Zeph Mantle for +3Str, Conserve MP trait, and shadows if you take hate?

How about Plasma Charge and Acinitic Burst for Auto refresh, and +3 str?

How about Temporal shift/Diamondhide/Healing breeze so you can stun Touchdown on tiamat/heal... and not be completely fucking useless? Still liking that 1str?

Meanwhile putting all that enmity on yourself, and if you're so desperately needed to shift and diamondhide how can you deal with the horror?

You could actually, gasp, have those mages log hate if need be, but seems to me this is becoming more about how your shell fights tiamat compared to mine, and to put it simply I'll say it's different.
