Its been said umpteen times in umpteen threads, but:

1 points (and ONLY 1 point) for using a WS that does not close a skillchain. If you Solo ws, 1p. If you open a skillchain without closing one prior, 1p.

2p for CLOSING level 1 skillchain.

3p for CLOSING level 2 skillchain.

5p for CLOSING level 3 skillchain.

Whichever is the highest is what you get.

Savage > Cannonball gets you 1 point, the same as Savage without Cannonball, and that is the most a solo blu can get at one time, Ickarus wings aside.

When I was opening light on my WHM club to my friends Dissector, if it had been the way you say it is, we would have finished at the same time.

500p for Dissector, 300p for trial weapon. 3p for me opening, 5p for him closing, 100 skillchains = both unlocked. This is not correct. 100 skillchains left him with Dissector unlocked, and me with precisly 200p left (at which point we switched and did another 40 chains the other way around).

Should have done 90 and 42!

Soooo not true. If a BLU mob starts casting 1k needles, it's usually dead in the ten seconds it takes to go off. Even if it's not, it never goes off anyway.

Bubble Shower is a breath. Flying Hip Press is a breath. Spirits Within could be considered a breath, I guess, but it's also modified by TP and probably doesn't see any reduction from Breath damage-% gear. Just because it's not done by omg kewl dragunz doesn't make it any less so.
