Well of course, if we actually prove that hes plantoid! Otherwise that'd be a kinda silly gear choice ;xOriginally Posted by Sho
Side questions anyone have a list of all the correlation weaknesses and strengths?
edit: also anyone figure out which slow is best between sprout smack, filamented hold, and bad breath?
Isn't this common knowledge?Originally Posted by LinktheDeme
Beasts->Lizards->Vermin->Plantoids->Beasts
Birds->Aquans->Amorphs->Birds
Undead<->Arcana
Dragons<->Demons
I think luminians (organic Lumorians)<->luminions (mechanical Lumorians)
And beastmen, (following is generally irrelevant to blue magic) Empty, elementals, avatars, structures, and some other stuff are neutral. What I don't know is what automatons, biotechnological weapons, animated weapons, Vanguard statues, and some other stuff fall under, if anything.
EDIT: Didn't mean to come off as a jerk with the "common knowledge" comment.
use the search function........ there was just a topic all about slow brought up and it was listed in there. also in this topic there are prolly 5-6 links/pics of the beast chart. Then there's freaken wiki with a page for it.Originally Posted by LinktheDeme
The slow one was comparing slow 1 and two with each other and after wikis last incident id rather meh it before going thereOriginally Posted by Judai
edit: Also for the khimera question anyone know if hes weak to blunt? (I think thats what cannonball is?)
No, there is a link to someone camparing every slow out there. Slow 1, 2, Filamented Hold, Hojo and everything. Go check again.
Just because one retard on wiki fucked up shit doesn't mean it's all wrong.
Any solutions to the Khimaira puzzle? ;x

Natural weakness to Blue Magic makes the most sense to me.
Makes sense story-wise, and he could be programmed to take extra damage from anything with Monster slant (which also makes sense story-wise, as he's an amalgamation of many creatures), which normal spells and melee hits are lacking.
Also possible that his weaknesses change from time to time.
They probably nerfed the range of Wild Carrot and Magic Fruit today, from the update details:
The incorrect range for the blue magic spells “Wild Carrot” and “Magic Fruit” has been adjusted.
I'm guessing the casting range stayed the same, but the efective casting range was reduced.
I tested Magic fruit on a fleeing THF who started from max range, the spell went off AFTER he left the 50 unit targetable radius, and he said he saw no animation, or text confirming the heal, but his HP increased, and my MP went down, so the spell went off.
I got textual confirmation of the spells effect.
No more of that now though. Very worth it for everything else we're getting today.
Yeah, I'm a little irked they're messing with our cures, but I'm pleased with the rest of the update. Still, c'mon, who gets hurt from the fact that you can pop a Magic Fruit on a fleeing THF and it still connects?
Well, technically, the fleeing thf would, if he were undead.
But yeah, it's just not what was intended. No other spell works that way, so it's only fair.
awww I was hoping from new spells learnable from the new mobs
Oh well, next patch I guess.
wtf

Probably have to test them to see which abilities would be good/not broken as blue magic spells. Notice how no new spells were given when wamoura, soulflayers, and Poroggos were first added.Originally Posted by FinalJustice
