Swapping spike necklace (-6 MND) for just badge (+3 MND) had a huge impact on my pollen at lower levels. It's been capped at 34 for a long time though no matter what I do, so it's not as if it matters. 34 HP healed is pretty inconsequential at higher levels.

True, but stacking MND in the end may help for something like Magic Fruit which by MP cost seems like BLU's equivalent of Cure 4.

Who cares about Pollen... it is nothing more then Cure 1 with a principle cap of 30 and only for me myself, and I healing. Healing breeze isnt much better....a gimp Curaga with a principle cap of 60. Given at lower lvls it works, but we all know 90% of us atleast are more interested in the End Game Application of the job.

Burst Affinity is bugged, or I'm doing it wrong. Sometimes my magic MBs, sometimes it doesn't. Can anyone explain why it wouldn't?

You're late, or you're early. At least that's what I've been telling myself, because I've had the same problem. I kinda doubt that it's bugged, it just doesn't seem like something that can be coded the exact same was a a normal magic burst would be bugged.

The latest thing I've been thinking of; the window for bursting blue magic is just shorter than for bursting black or white magic.

It was the same way when SMN could MB at first, the window was like 1 second. But it got fixed so it's more like a BLM mb, so maybe they'll fix it. But if you have SMN MBing then you have bigger problems then that.

Oh, I forgot about that. I'm hoping it's just an oversight, like it was with summoners. It is definitely messed up though. I just leveled BLM 40-47 in the week prior to the expansion and had my MB timing down pat, so missing MBs on BLU probably isn't because I suck.

Its definitely bugged dude. Sometimes I'm really late and sometimes I'm early and I still get to MB on some of them, but when I'm on normal timing it doesnt MB, very strange. I was thinking that maybe burst affinity only gave you a "chance" to MB, but I know that shouldnt be the case.

I haven't had problems with bursting other than taking too long because of bomb-toss cast time and time to trigger the affinity. If you're having problems maybe you're using physical spells, someone missed with their weaponskill, or someone did a different weaponskill after the chain but before your spell landed.

The only tests I've seen have shown that +accuracy boosts physical spells landing and +STR boosts damage. For magic spells one would assume skill and magic accuracy (maybe) boost accuracy and MAB boosts damage (but not for 1000 needles.)

I know conserve MP works, and I haven't been resisted yet with elemental seal. Some spells though are easier to land than others. Sandspin for instance seems to be about as hard to resist as Dia and Bio which makes it pretty damn own as it also lasts a long time and seems to be a fairly major debuff that hasn't gotten worse with level so it's probably a %.
