Why is he still in your shell?I had a melee SMN in my shel
because the fact there's a Prime version of him states 100% he's an avatar, i guess.had a melee SMN in my shell wet himself over summoning Odin "because there's a Odin Prime, duh."
plus, there was a new summon every expansion, it was dark based and played a major role in the storyline/endgame. finally, one of the CS showed Odin without horse, floating midair like any other avatar. i'd consider him as the next summonable pet with a good chance.
sorry, OT
He's really a physical BP SMN or something, he tried to explain it to me on Vent one day but I think I was reading the ITT You Laugh You Lose thread. Anyway I call him a melee SMN because it fits him perfectly.Originally Posted by BRP
Odin would fail as an avatar without his horse, just looks like ifrit with armour
Now the real question is, is Morrigans Robe or af1 body better for spells on mobs that that not too hard.
How about you test that out and get back to us, k?
Lazycat is laaaaaaazy. Also, I'm not a cat.
I used it in Limbus today and got some nice numbers with V.Cleave, the other spells with CA seemed about the sameish, maybe Diss lost some damage. Losing the blu skill on the body hurts some of the numbers (no blu magic merits) but acc and STR kind of make up for it. Or maybe I dunno what I'm talking about because I dont have a parser.. Also, I'm lazy.
I'd say morrigan. DMG rating doesn't do that much to WSes and therefore phys blue magic.Originally Posted by Not Kuno
Every Update keeps reminding me of this.
Except for maybe Mortal Ray and Everyone's Grudge, none of it seems so powerful that they'd have to keep it from us, just as they have for most of the high tier Black & White magic spells.
We got Blank Gaze & Wild Carrot, when are we gunna get Spider Web, a spell that was used to demonstrate BLU's power long before it was released? ~_-;
Obviously Everyone's Grudge is the secret to killing AV. Throw people at him til it does 9999 DMG ;3Originally Posted by LD

Well this is actually funny because that is what my numbers show for AF v. Morrigan's when running it through the BLU magic formula.Originally Posted by Not Kuno
D = {[(BLU Skillx.11)x2]+3 + STR/4 + Spells Mods} x TP Mod
Now for basic #s (No spell Modifiers)
Removing the constants for comparisons it becomes:
D = [(BLU Skillx.11)x2] + STR/4 + Spells Mods
Ok So Morrigan's has 0 Skill and 8 STR so you get:
2 + Spells Mods
For AF Body you get:
4.05 + spell mods
Now to compare this with some spells:
Vertical Cleave
Morrigan's: 2 + 8*.5 = 6
Af: 4.05 + 3*.5 = 5.55
Frenetic Rip/Disseverment
Morrigan's 2 + 8*.2 = 3.6
AF: 4.05 + 3*.2 + 3*.2 = 5.25
Hysteric Barrage
Morrigan's: 2
AF: 4.05 + 3*.3 = 4.95
Obviously Skill plays a large role in DMG, and Morrigan's only seems to win out on high STR mod spells like Death Scissors and Vertical Cleave.
Also, I believe Morrigan's may be better for pre-lvl60 Spells since your D value (based on BLU skill) will cap without AF body and merits, however for 60+ spells D value can't cap at the moment.
Of course this is all just mathematical theory.
shouldnt you be multiplying these by .25 since it's STR divided by 4 or is there something im missing?Originally Posted by Kaslo
Edit: And on frenetic rip, disservement you did 3x .2 (Which should be .25 if im correct?) twice is that on purpose because i'm trying to understand this for future needs
Frenetic Rip and Disseverment are both 20%DEX 20%STR mods
Ok now decoding what i posted for you (i tend to leave small math out, bad math degree habit of mine ;p)
Ok what this is is using just the stats from the bodiesOk So Morrigan's has 0 Skill and 8 STR so you get:
2 + Spells Mods
For AF Body you get:
4.05 + spell mods
Morrigan's:
D = [(BLU Skill(0)x.11)x2] + STR(8)/4 + Spells Mods
which yields 0 + 2 (8*.25 or 8/4 whichever way you look at it) + spell mods
AF:
D = [(BLU Skill(15)x.11)x2] + STR(3)/4 + Spells Mods
which yields 3.35 + .75 + spell mods
Ok the reason there is a 3*.2 twice is because they are different calcFrenetic Rip/Disseverment
Morrigan's 2 + 8*.2 = 3.6
AF: 4.05 + 3*.2 + 3*.2 = 5.25
DEX*.2 and STR*.2 which are both +3 on AF body
What do you mean?Originally Posted by LinktheDeme

unless, you're picky on number representation, which is not the case since we're looking at average case
EDIT:
also note on multi-hit spells, if one of them score higher in single hit, then the difference is getting bigger on multi-hit
I was reading it wrong understand now though. thought that the spell mods were Fstr and he was doing .5 instead of .25 my bad. Least I understand now :DOriginally Posted by VZX
edit: Anyone know if BLU/BLM with elemental seal lowing sticks decently on kirin or JOL?
We need a Kuno card that reads, "This isn't the time for rocket science, just tell me whats better and leave the math at home."
QFT. Half the time I read the math posts I'm even more confused. I just skip them usually now.Originally Posted by Xavier
Why would you want lowing on kirin or JOL? The description is wrong, it doesn't actually stop HP regen, but it does act as a TP (and MP I think?) poison. Basically lowing is plague, not disease like the help text would indicate.Originally Posted by LinktheDeme
