What's the point in using Homam over O.Hat for Phy Spells, seriously try and explain it. I don't even use O.Hat cause Voyager Sallet ftmfw. I've used HomamZ over O.Hat on Head Butt before but I noticed more misses so I switched back to O.Hat. So I don;t think the M.Acc applies to Physical Spells. It's not a matter of ppl just bashing you for fun, you are taking away 6Acc for what? 3% Haste on a 30s Spell.. Try making your point instead of just falling back on the "you're an asshole for mocking me" thing.
Those numbers are nice but yea, Flans take Extra damage from Magic and tbh those BLM you compared to kinda sucked. I hit like 1400-1500 on ThunderIV iirc and like 2k on Burst II and such. Solid numbers and nice to see BLU Magic doing damage but it's not very pratical seeing as you had to use everything you had to hit those numbers. 2mJA, 10mJA, Day Bonus with Obi, etc.
I'm assuming that what's happening is the guy TPs in homam head and doesn't have room in his spell macros to swap in another piece, and so he doesn't feel O Hat is that much better to have to make all his spells require two macros. Let's assume here that he's PS2/Xbox360 so you don't just shout windower macros at me. It doesn't really make sense otherwise.
thanks .. again as i said before again and again and it seems to be missed .. i really do not see the need to dictate the rule of never cast phys spell in homam when all you have to argue the point is accuracy which can be more than sufficient. cus honestly there is a cap in how much a difference +acc will make in meritpts unless you are trying to land on HNM which i usually go to as /thf . I do agree in using voyager as i pointed out earlier but to make an extra macro space for adding 7acc really does not makes sense to me. i already am swapping in rings earings for stats feet belt body hands which is a full macro slot. having to hit 2 macros just to get in ohat for something that will not really make a difference when using sushi, is not needed.Originally Posted by Sargas

also i would love to see the firespit dmg on regular mobs. the 1055 eyes on me I was able to do was one the limbus bird floor ( i did have double dark weather to help
Also does magic acc affect the activation of the added effect on spells like headbut or wild oats?
I used carrot with and without AF body and got the same result.Originally Posted by Zeosilot
If it is connected to Blue Skill, then then the amount it can be raised in that manner must be limited by your level.
Screw O.Hat
At 75 Acc is hardy an issue for anyone needed to lug Ohat around just to macro in for a spell. No 75 Blu is going to see a noticable difference in casting of physical spells in a O hat o a Homam head. There IS a such thing as TOO much acc. I dont even cast in either anyway. I cast in the Str Dex Voyager Sallet Helmet from Rive Site A.
The bottom line, a 75 Blu will not notice much difference between casting in Homam Head or O hat, to warrant the set in stone Mentality of "NEVER CAST IN HOMAM HEAD YOU NOOBz". The difference is to small to even care. And if a Blu has hard times landing spells with ease I suggest checking other gear slots, food, and weapon. Because that extra 6 Acc is the least of his problems. My Ohat collects dust in my locker, and my blu is not suffering for it.
On another note, are Blu physical spells effected by the stat "Magic acc bonus"?
I'm gunna go with probably not, cuz that would mean added effects from normal WSs would also.
If you guys have so much acc at 75, why are you using homam head at all? Use turban for melee and macro in o-hat or voyager sallet for spells/ws, homam head is a piece of shit, that's what you shouldn't be lugging around.
and for places like Nyzle Isle Birds where you can't eat food? Please keep wearing that Sallet and I will out dmg you 9 times out of 10.Originally Posted by FinalJustice
There's no reason to even carry Homam head on you, in any situation where you're casting magic based spells AF head or Yigit Turban will usually do you better. For TP building Walahra Turban is better (Optical Hat for evasive mobs like Lurkers). If you're not eating Sushi and not using Sneak Attack on a single hit spell Optical Hat is pretty much the best head piece to use (if you're lucky enough to own one, Morrigan's Coronal is probably better).Originally Posted by FinalJustice
According to wiki's entry on magic atk bonus it does affect elemental ws's. So if MAB affects it it would make sense MACC would too. And if both of thoes affect a WS like Red Lotus Blade, then it makes sense they'd affect something like Flat Blade's stun effect. Whether any of those properties really translate to blu spells is another thing though, but it's reasonable enough.Originally Posted by LD
SE on the other hand, is often not "reasonable enough", so this could be another game rule vs logic fight that game rules always win.
Voyager > all for F.Rip and Disseverment.
i carry:
walahra for TP stuff i dont have acc problems with, and for utsu
optical if and only if i have problems hitting stuff
homam for headbutt and general cuteness, and when im TPing in a small group or by myself
nashira for debuffs
yigit for mnd/mabmagic fruit/hammer
edit
oh yeah, voyager for physical spells outside of headbutt![]()
You also macro in a spike necklace instead of PCC?Originally Posted by Judai

I don't use Homam head. I use Turban to TP in. At first i couldn't decide which one to bother with, because I was wondering how much 2 haste mattered. But getting some advice in another thread helped me make the choice to stick with Turban, because the 4 acc will not matter at that point.Originally Posted by fantasticdan
Yea, those VT birds that live for like 15 secs are just Sooo hard to hit. Yea..... you keep thinking 6 Acc is nough to make you Out Dmg me 9 out of 10 times. WHen countless times I outdmg Ohat wielding Blus And secondly, I honeslty dont merit on the birds at Nyzel. And for that matter I don't merit much on Blu anymore, because i have another job where I can get merits much faster. But yea, you keep thinking you'll out Frentic rip, disservement, and VC me, with an O hat on VT birds....and for places like Nyzle Isle Birds where you can't eat food? You're missing my point. I don't carry homam head anymore. My POINT is... the 6 Acc is such a SMALL difference, it's completely silly to say "ohat or gtfo" like it will make SUCH a huge difference that it will make or break a blu. I honestly don't care which of the hats ppl wear. Sallet, Ohat, Homam, Turban, or w/e. Whats next... telling ppl they suck because they cast spells in str rings, and don't cast in snipers instead? You want to wear O hat sure, more power to you. You want to wear Homam head? hey Idc. Turban? Sallet? hey whatever floats your boat. I own all of those pieces My point is the acc difference between O hat and Homam is so small, and so insignificant at 75 with max sword merits, + sword gear, perdu wielding, full homam, haste gear, and food eating blus, that it's silly to argue over 6 acc when talking about regular everyday common variety mobs. Acc is hardly an issue with geared blus on none thf mobs, and hnm. Even on regular mobs sometimes i play around with attk food, because you reach a point wear more acc doesn't do much. There's no reason to even carry Homam head on you, in any situation where you're casting magic based spells AF head or Yigit Turban will usually do you better. I simply do not have problems hitting things like merit mobs unless an evasion buff is thrown on, or if its a Thf mob, And that is my whole point. 6 acc will NOT make or break any blu. So getting all uppity on someone who prefers Homam head is silly.

Homam head makes Head Butt do piercing damage. Discuss.
I macro in Spike Necklace for those spells. And I still land most of my hits, esp. during solo. You wanna fight about it?Originally Posted by fantasticdan
