They might, but I'd really rather they didn't.
Considering how weak gnoles get during a New Moon, the spell could be useless for days.

Thats assuming the spell isn't useless at full moon. I just refuse to get excited over a multi hit until I see some real data on it, especially a 6 hit.Originally Posted by LD

Thats the thing is a 6 hit spell that may or may not be hth or slash which may or may not be subject to moon phase going to be even good? Perhaps it might be the VC/CB of multi hits vs HNM or not who knows. But if it is there's a few things that worry me.
1) SE might make it have some retarded modifier like agi...
2) Is giving HNMs 60tp something that will be worth the 1500 or less damage the spell may do?
3) If it is this powerful will it have a retardly high MP cost making it only viable for HNM situations?
It would be nice to have a non SACA dependant spell that does over 1k on HNMs. I guess its just wishful thinking.

MP Drainkiss already resists more during the day. I wouldn't put it past SE to take that further.
And god it's nomnomnomtastic on greater colibri. Regular 140~ returns? Yes, fucking, please. I love that camp more than I ever did before.![]()

I read it on otherwiki and http://70.85.147.102/blu/BLUMain.html, which I took with a grain of salt, but I notice regular resists during the daytime now that I'm basically whoring that timer for MOAR dissevernomnoment.![]()
Asuran Claws will probably a step up from Hysteric Barrage, still inferior to Disserverments damage + potent DoT. The spell doing a flat 1k on things conning VT would be pretty O.o without CA or a blunt bonus, only reason diss breaks 1k on avians is that piercing bonus anyway not to mention the DoT. Pretty sure that the actual spell wont be based on Moon Phases, probably just subject to whatever STR/DEX/VIT mods they decide to make up. Only 'Call of the Moon' and 'Plenilune Embrace' are spells i remember having huge effects depending on moon phases. (not to mention the actual mob stats)
The race is on to killshot Alpha Gnole Anders or hunt VT Lobisons? D:
hmmm maybe something may come out of the blu spell hunts. Perhaps some interesting merit camps or something.
Does anyone kno if necropolis campaing have many upright gnoles?
Aside from getting all maws, doing the few missions, and doing dnc quest I have not done much of anything with Wotg.
I was foolin around with HP gear setups, and got some pretty nice results, constant 950~1050 heat breath's on dynamis mobs. Too bad you can't get giant drinks outside of besieged/ballistaHeres just an example of a besieged number w/ boost on
http://img125.imageshack.us/img125/9...nbreathpe4.png
how'd you get 6,000+ HP in besieged even with boost? O_O
ive tried heath breath and boost iin besieged before, with boost when i had over 2k+ HP or so i think. But the wierd thing was i always got resisted and was never able to get mp dmg even close to 1000.
was that a one time screen shot, or was it consistent for you?
lol nah that wasn't consistent, it was with Conv, BA, and 2hr
You can also pick them up off of Campaign battles as a temp item, and the effects will linger beyond the ending if you don't zone.Originally Posted by DragonCloud64
None of that should double the effectiveness. Heat Breath's HP mod is 50% and resists only affect accuracy for breath spells. Maxed Convergence adds 15% to the final damage. I don't recall BA affecting breath spell's HP mod and the most AL would do is up the accuracy, if anything.
yeah, but those are the plain 50% body boosts, not 100% giant drinks D:Originally Posted by Kyreth
assuming you had max 15% conv
You would have had to have about 5323 HP in besieged. Which would have been about 2661 base dmg plus the 15% which woul dhave brought it to that 3k range.
Im baffled as to how you pulled that off XD
Hello all, long time lurker & first time poster here. I know it’s always rough the first time, so please, be gentle. ^.~
The reason that I’m posting is because I have an idea on what “Physical Potency” merits do. I think they effect the “potency” of added effects from physical spells. Things like Stun from Head butt and Sleep from Pinecone Bomb would be effected by this. I think the effect will be twofold: 1) the % at which the added effect kicks in is increased, and 2) the duration of the added effect is increased.
I typically only use blu for two events in game, Nyzul Isle Assaults and Limbus chip farming. I’d use it more, but I’m one of my linkshell’s main tanks for most events. My role at events is a support DD, I help with sleeps, cures, and sometimes (always in Nyzul) I am the only stunner that we have.
I recently added two levels to Physical Potency, and I noticed some results with Head butt. Where I would never notice the stun kicking in pre-merits (I think knockback interrupted casting) I now saw stun landing (I got the “X is no longer stunned” message) very often. I noticed that the stun effect landed almost every time on the easier/non boss mobs, and almost never kicked in on the big uglies. Admittedly I was just eyeballing it and it is just conjecture, but I think it does warrant some further testing. I play on a lolps2, so I can’t provide a parse. If I get a chance this weekend I can try doing some testing. If anyone has noticed the same thing, or thinks that I’m completely off of my rocker, please let me know.
There is no actual knock back on head butt, it's just a graphical thing. It can't make Nig/Faf flail, it doesn't change the position of the target, so that's not what interrupts casting. You an start casting a teleport, run around in a huge circle and as long as you're where you started when the spell tries to finish casting, it'll go off.
Easiest way to test this would be Disseverment I think, test the duration of the poison between a fully merited BLU and a non merited with equal BLU skill.
I wont completely shoot you down, but I believe most BGers were leaning toward it being accuracy. That wouldn't say you are wrong, increased accuracy means more Head Butts landing, so you see more stuns. Feel free to test it, doesn't seem too far off from SE methodology.
