Could just Expiation - VC for your own Darkness and get a dmg boost..(since we know how you love to follow that Asuran Fists so much) then use Eyes on Me or Firespit for a 1k+ nuke for less mp rather than just the 700 dmg from a high cost Heat Breath

Cause you will have room for the gear to make EoM make a 1k+ nuke and have TP, WS, and spell gear. Plus the timing and amount of WS's makes if pretty hard to MB without getting interrupted (EDIT: oh and since you probably can't make this rationalization, I am talking about the period to MB being interrupted).

I just am trying to comprehend why you think you can come into this thread and just expect to be treated as god's gift to blue mages without even trying to supply input first. Your argument has has the logic of about a 2year old so far. "He made a typo! I will insult! Oh he responded I will put a bare minimum of info and then insult again! I'm so smart!"

To people who have full EoM gear sets: What are they, do you think it's worth it, and how much damage do you generally pump out?

I got Nimue's Tights and am contemplating making an EoM set.

Generally it depends on the mob, on Fortitude using AF body I can get around 700+ with full buffs, unbuffed around 500ish

In Appolyon NW (with Obi) I can get up to 1k+ with full buffs, 2kish with 2hr on Faffhog

There people go again not reading. Did I say anything about a Magic Burst..no. Just said he'd get better dmg for MP with either of those spells rather than wasting it all on 700 dmg to Heat Breath. As far gear goes I usually travel with 68/70 on blu with a whole lot more stuff I use in the safe....all depends on what spells I plan on casting, But it's relatively easy to keep an MAB setup for EoM Firespit and such along with TP and WS gear...even with the CHR only items.

My set up is around Kaslo's as well. Definitely go for a EoM set up if you can Max-- EoM is one of those spells that generally lands well on mobs that are resistant to many spell types (naturally, there aren't many mobs that are resistant to Darkness magic).

Also looking at the insane dmg vs all Dragon type mobs is always refreshing. (You'll break 2k easy on the Wyrm boss in Ap). Also around 700~1400 ish on Fafnir.

Well worth getting....in Dynamis I do 1k+ easy on reg mobs, good to help take down statues too if you low man like we do a lot of times. Very nice spell if using BLU at Fafnir/Nidhogg (af1 head ftw). Also nice in situations where you need the magic dmg but can't get all that nice HP for a breath spell.

I had a EoM set (Was missing the Dark Obi though) and didn't find it that appealing. The only situations it seemed viable for was NW Apollyon as mentioned, but the fact that I mostly slept mobs/don't bother with Fafnir meant it was a waste of 200k. It seemed to average ~800DMG on mobs aside from Ghosts and Wyverns.

I did read, you were just ambiguous, You said make self-darkness then use EoM, which implies magic bursting, I would just be more clear next time. I need to test my EoM in dynamis, just usually am PLD or RDM there.

Yah, I definitely am, if you remember that argument we had on KI. It was a dmg few points behind in a sheer damage count, so like a 0.9~1:1 ratio MAB:MND/INT. I didn't test CHR yet however, still having a problem seeing 35 hands to drop in Bhaf as well. Apart from EoM/Breath, the devs really need to reevaluate the formulas for Magical Blue Magic. And fix the MP cost for alot of spells.

I have like 70+ CHR and some magic attack bonus in my EoM set. I don't have any numbers, because I haven't used it in awhile, I think it was like 500-700 damage against stuff like cheese hoarder when I used to do ZNM or certain sea jailers (if I could actually get the spell off on them while they're kited). But, I guess it probably isn't worth it to keep it around anymore, dunno. I don't have the inventory space to carry it around everywhere, since I have so much gear for physical spells. If it did amazing damage, it might be worth it, but it doesn't for me.

I don't nearly have +70 chr maybe around 50 and was hitting 700ish eom on Cheese Hoarder. The hardest part was getting all my buffs in before casting it damn Memento Mori just takes so fin long to cast and get off before he runs out the room. I could have used amp but wanted the max.

Use Sword and Shield for Cannonball. Use Fire/Vulcan's Staff + Brave Grip for Vertical Cleave if you're not concerned about keeping TP.

Even if you're not concerned about keeping TP, Sword + Shield is better for the DEF you receive from the shield.

I asked my friend to ask what does Physical Potency does in fan fest and what they said to her was it's to increase our acc on spells. They look at her weird too when she asked that so I feel bad about it now lol. I'm too lazy to test this out personally so I'll take SE's word for now.
