SE won't change it. They're more likely to introduce another spell similar to this that's either better, or slightly different, but no better. It's how they get around thinking of stuff that's actually new.

    In any case, I'd rather they just gave us a good slashing damage multi-hit spell finally. It might not be good on HNMs, but in every day play, it'd be very useful. Also, it'd be a good alternate to Disseverment when you might need to sleep something. As it is now, our only good slashing attacks are single hit and only good when on /THF, which isn't practical for anything but alliance fights. So yeah... {Can I have it?}

I'd prefer if they gave us a single hit piercing damage. I don't like playing Blue Mage as anything but sub Thief.
Edit : better than Death Scissors

Ah, yeah, that'd be a nice addition too.

...I want Fang Rush though. >_>

It'd be interesting if they added the 'level' spells you see in the other games. It would be situational, but great when the situation arises. Like Level 3 Flare, Level 4 Gravity, etc.

Anyway, has anyone got a hold of a Koggelmander and tested out the killer effect on it? I'm wondering how strong it is.

So, I hear LM-17 greatly inhibits BLU's capabilities.

    Confirmation?

Ouch, that's harsh, Durden. Why did your group let him lot?

And, Wyldfyre, yes, it's true. While LM-17 doesn't directly affect a the Blue Mage job, with the BLUs that had good gear gone, now only 1% of the BLU population is worth inviting to parties, rather than the previous 2%.

Atum has a Kogglemander. How would one go about setting up this test accurately and whatnot?

Have some vermin mobs attack you for a while, and check the percentage of auto-attacks that were intimidated. Probably fastest to get a decent sample size with chigoes, or you could just grab some really low level vermin mobs, and go afk for hours with auto-regen set.

Yeah, what fantasticdan said. It's easiest to use a parser for it, and set the options up so it reports on intimidations. I know DirectParse can, but I don't think kparser does. You'd want to test two times, for a while on each time. One with Koggelmander on, and another without it on, and your subjob set to BST (BST LV.10+ for Vermin Killer). That way we'll have a comparison of the overall percent of intimidations. But this is if we can get someone with a Koggelmander to test it.

It's not really hugely important, just something that piqued my curiosity.

UR KILING MI PETZZ!!!! (Currently leveling with those spiders as my pets >.>)

That's actually pretty crazy. Even as a BST, I haven't had a string of intimidates like that against any type of mob. Then again, I'm usually facing off against T+ mobs and not against (assuming) an EP. I'll check on my BST against something around an EP so see how my base intimidate works compared to that when I get home in about 2.5 hours.

Considering blu doesn't get vermin killer, and he's not subbing bst in the picture, I'm going to say no.

I can only say they proc more easily (maybe not necesssarily more often) compared to Demon Slayer. I used Demon Slayer sub for awhile when farming on Castle Zvahl, but it was rare got to see the proc on EP.

Meh, tried to use DirectParse, but it didn't work. Anyone know any good threads to explain how to set it up? I downloaded it, and started after I started the game, but nothing happened when I tried to start a new parse in Dynamis. (Yeah, I'm being lazy, but I don't want to have to sift through a bunch of unrelated stuff. >_> )
