I know it's not much, but I doubt in next 100 spiders it'll turn the intimidation rate to below 10% proc rate. The number starts hovering between 12-13% after spider #8
As for comparison, I have capped parrying on BLU (210)
Something I've wondered for a while is if mob level affect intimidation rate (in general). After you get a decent sample from spiders, you think you could try wearing the same gear and afk for an hour in gusta/saruta with a bee smacking you?
Got 10k+ data points
Targets were Huge Wasp on Konschtat.Code:Defense Attacks Against: Player Melee Range Abil/Ws Spells Unknown Total Attack# % Avoided Avoid % Vrytreya 10091 0 52 0 0 10143 100.00 % 8308 81.91 % Damage To: Player M.Dmg Avg M.Dmg R.Dmg Avg R.Dmg S.Dmg Avg S.Dmg A/WS.Dmg Avg A/WS.Dmg Damage % Vrytreya 4383 2.39 0 0.00 0 0.00 6 2.00 100.00 % Standard Defenses Player M.Evade M.Evade % R.Evade R.Evade % Shadow Shadow % Parry Parry % Vrytreya 7297 72.31 % 0 0.00 % 0 0.00 % 0 0.00 % Other Defenses Player Intimidate Intimidate % Anticipate Anticipate % Counter Counter % Retaliate Retaliate % Vrytreya 962 9.53 % 0 0.00 % 0 0.00 % 0 0.00 %
Proc rate was low (5%+) and started to go up to 9%+ proc rate when I start standing still. Then at the 4k-10k+ data point it only climbs from 9.30 to 9.60%
P.S : isn't evasion rate capped at 80%? why mine is capped around 72.50% ?
Sounds like a MEMLOC problem. Open up your DirectParse folder and bring up the "DvsConf" file. When that's up, you should see something in there saying something like (example) MEMLOC=#x######. Backspace that and paste MEMLOC=0x57A2C8 in it. That's the current updated MEMLOC. Anytime there's an update in FFXI, there's a good chance DirectParse's MEMLOC gets screwed and you need to update it. You can find updates for the MEMLOC or DirectParse itself here. I hope that helps.
Sho; Sorry, I meant as BLU/anything. >.>
And without food. <.<
IF you're having any other problems, it could just be the Report Column settings. There should be a button to click that brings up a window so you can set what it shows (and reports on). If not, show me a screencap and I'll try to help some more.
I gathered 10 Huge Hornets in South Gustaberg, and just let them attack and attack and attack. After several hours of testing, these are my results.
(Intimidation / Number of total attacks)
With Koggelmander: 1012/10001 - 10.118988101189881011898810118988%
With Beastmaser sub: 774/10008 - 7.7338129496402877697841726618705%
I'm still wondering if there's any difference (on intimidation proc rate) if we engage the mob directly.
Because from my 1st test, I hardly see it'll drop to 10% range.
The vermin killer trait result is what's surprising to me. So weapons are static and traits are CHR? Always thought it would be one or the other.
Maybe tomorrow I can redo the experiment with Atum on BRD/BST with some +CHR gear to see if I get a different result. (But not Etudes since the higher one changes over time, and it requires too much attention.) Galka BLU75/BST19 would have a bit of a CHR deficit especially since I geared for defense and damage reduction (did have Ixion Cloak though), so he would be a good test subject- I will look at his CHR total tomorrow when I log in.
EDIT: CHR: 54 + 20 in the setup that I used on BLU/BST
I'm sorry, apparently a question means 'this is what I believe.'
Considering the uniformity in most effects, 8% is kind of...odd.
I have never heard of such an average in Killer Traits, but I'd love to see your tests on it.
I dunno if this is really the place to put it, but I couldn't think of anywhere else.
Cannonball, should I use Fort torque or Kubira Beads?
Justice > Kubira > Fort = Chiv Chain (Chiv might be slightly better)
