Recast is 1:02, with turban/homam hands/feet/legs/hands and refuelling (sp)
Even so, 36 MP every minute is a pretty large MP sink for +15% Attack. doesn't seem worth it to me, since it won't affect spell damage.
Still, +3 STR for 3 points isn't bad; hopefully it'll have a nifty Job Trait.
T. Roar seems to be best used before a WS or with Diffusion, other than that I can't see myself casting it very often.
Subzero Smash is overall a decent spell both for casting and setting purposes, though lacking in raw damage on high level mobs.
The fact that's conal aoe sucks though...
Conal AoE, hmm? I wonder, would SA + Sub Smash apply the forced critical to all targets in front of it, so long as they're facing away? I'm still updating, I'll give it a try if no one has by the time I've gotten the spells.
need to finish assimilation meritsnice things to set, and you want all the set bonuses :D
Cointeaches (the floating skulls in Xarc[S]) are broken exp. Dinking about with /sch, I started soloing. They're way easier than caedarva imps due to their lack of TP moves. They stun well. Imp-like HP or even lower. And I was getting 240+ unchained. Only thing to watch out for is low-HP aggro, and some spots have creeping ice eles. But easily viable for exp, if you're mildly aware of your surroundings.
I'm trying to find a good camp to solo those; any suggestions?
Well, the only thing to aware of Imps is the Defeaning Tantara which is solved by spamming Echo Drops (and this sucks) but is the tradeoff of easyness that those lamps offers, enough, to make worth the travel to that area (and no AC so no exp bonus i believe? smash me if i'm wrong) ?
playing around with Sub Zero. i was having trouble getting the para to proc until i casted it while the mob was facing me, then it went off every couple tics.
Signet exp bonus isn't a bonus so much as it's a lessened penalty for multiple players. But the few lamps I fought, they seemed so weak I can't see there being a reason to even duo them.
Well, first off it's easy as cake to get there. Campaign warp to xarc once you've set foot in the zone the first time. Then sneak/invis and dodge maybe two imps as you walk northwest to the camp around F-7. As far as exp, I'm getting 240-260 without band or chain, emperor band snagged me chain 4 for 588. That's good enough for me. The problem is there's only one really good camp that I saw (a few heads floating around scattered elsewhere) so I can see it being full nearly 24/7. And it can get kinda cramped space-wise, you have to choose between risking the ele and pushing up against gargoyle pathing areas to stay out of HP aggro range.
I need to log just to get this.
Damn, attack boost spell is very nice.
Either people are used to very low exp or they aren't counting exactly how much you get from these mobs. They are pretty decent, they are incredibly easy, and it's really hard to die on them save for getting hit by some GA spell over a missed head butt or whatever.
Very low HP, Sub Zero Smash actualy procs on them, head buut lands every time but sometimes wears off instantly and in general they take quite some damage from both Frenetic and Disseverment. Best i've seen is chain 4, 362xp without any band.
You are still gonna have to rest and wait, rest again and wait again. Likely you'll still be on the 10k/h mark or so. That's still 1 hour for a single merit. *Shrug* It's good, it's just not "broken exp" like I read somewhere here.
As a final though, duo blu is probably the best to try on them. More fun and you can probably wipe the whole group without resting once.
Has anyone gotten Sub-Zero to skillchain? I think I tried every combination but no positive results.
Sub-zero seems to be decent dmg. Used it early in Dyna-Sandy and was about 350 (not great but not bad).
Attack boost is the secks though. With pizza in Vorpal Gear I was at 540 attack without a brd /drool
Sub-zero is Fragmentation, so it chains with Atonement, Hexa Strike, Cannonball. I dunno if it has a secondary.
