I dunno, manage your MP better? One of the biggest reasons why BLU is frowned upon in merits is because people think we just blow through MP, then are useless for a few fights.

I do manage my MP very well tyvm, I don't waste it on unnecessary spells, but the idea that wasting MP is good at any point when we can so easily turn it into efficient damage is retarded. MP is always the issue and should always be pushed to its limit, otherwise you're a bad BLU. If you're saying "oh, I have enough MP, even though I'm not dealing nearly as much damage as the rest of the party" then you're a bad BLU.

It always made me laugh when my Disseverments did more damage than a Melee WS, or seeing a a CA Frenetic Rip on a Sea Puk just destroy. I used to do that after a DD would WS, just to make them feel bad.

When both my Diss/F.Rip are on cooldown, I usually pulled so much hate and ended up in casting M.Fruit/Utsusemi instead of H.Barrage/V.Cleave.

Anyway, pushing mp to its limit is a correct way to play but, still, you need to reserve some mp for healing for oh-shit situation. I always stop around 150 mp mark.

That's about where I stop too, but there's a difference between "stop at 150" and "I don't run out of MP so I can waste it on a marginal buff"

BLU T.Roar Diffusion rotating for zergs! GO!

"I'll do T.Roar, you do Refueling, and last is Warm-up."

    LOL.

Edit: it should be Refueling, Warm up,then T.rawr.

150 MP is pushing it a bit. I like to stay above 200-250 MP so I can have room to catch a dying chain and still have room to recover without putting myself or the party on hold. Or else perhaps clean out linked colibri more smoothly. Either way, T. Roar IS a nice addition, I'd just rather use the MP on other things for colibri. Besides, we needed more help in situations where sword damage is more important anyway, so an attack boost buff is most welcome, imo. I was really worried it would be Att+10 or some stupid shit though... So I'm pleased.

I really don't see why the hate on this spell. I think its a great addition. For starters.. meriting on blu is not for me, ill stick to war or drg at this point, I'm lazy and I find its a lot easier to win the parse this way haha. (Maybe I misunderstand the context here if so forget it..)

    So outside of merits, almost everything I do is on blu, therefor;

I really like having the option to increase my dot from swords. Do I think this is going to usher in a new blu era (like when war went from ridill to gaxe)? probably not. But do I like having the option to be a melee with 297 skill and 600+ attack with no buffs from another pt member, and nin sub, AND have all my regular spells available to me? (IE. brd less pts in limbus or dynamis for example) That's a definite yes answer.

I really think this added another layer to blu mage that is worth exploring...

At this point if they added 3 "stances" so to speak to modify my sword dmg to be piercing / slashing / blunt at will I would never play anything else. (or Added blu to Ridill!!)

Also, some say its a waste of mp to cast this for 38mp or w/e then people said if you run out of mp your a scrub blu? Am I missing something here? Obviously at a colibri camp sure you don't have time for this but there are other things in the game haha Like casting it during flash @ mamools or in between mobs in a dynamis etc

personally being taru with 900 mp and auto refresh body I don't really have mp issues unless I'm really going extremely hard (a particularly nasty kill all or family floor in nyzul for example). So in that light this is nice too cause say I'm down to 300 mp I usually go into a recovery phase until my mp is back up to a comfortable spot, so i just upped my dot in "recovery" nicely.

Anyway I look at it I think this was a great boost for blu, is it the best buff of life, no, and if duration was a little bit longer I'm sure it would be more accepted but I do think like I said it adds another layer to play with.. Maybe I can out parse some melees without even using my spells

Not gonna lie, I do that too.

I too usually try to sit at 200-250 MP. And I don't settle for second best either- I try to be the top parser. The only things that can outparse me regularly at bird camp are good polearm users.

Honestly, I could probably outparse a lot of the bullshit that comes out of WG with just sword DPS. I agree with what other people have said though- full-timing this isn't the best plan in most situations. I'll stick to using it before Vorpals.

Well okay, maybe I can outparse average to good melees without using spells... No one is interested in outparsing scrubs haha

Within 2min (Triumphant Roar is half the MP of Disseverment, and has 1min duration), you have to do enough *Extra* damage (Aka more damage than you would have done before) to justify using Triumphant Roar > Saving for Disseverment.

15% attack isnt going to add 600-1k damage to BLU's melee attacks over 2m, especially considering the 6s total cast time killing 1-2 attack rounds.

That's exactly my reasoning for not using it.

I can see it adding enough damage if you use it before Vorpal Blade.

Then you don't know how long 3s is and don't know how attack works

I know how much damage a Chaos Roll adds to my WS, which is similiar to this unless you get the w/ DRK boost. For a multi-hit WS, then the 55 or so seconds after it, it can be worthwhile- unless you truly are having MP issues.

I'll have to play around with it soon, however; my opinion could change.

Well you see, if the statement that this spell will add *more* damage than Disseverment can do, then it is more MP efficient than Disseverment. Thus, if you're having MP issues, it would mean that you need to cut back on Disseverment instead of Triumphant Roar.

If you're going to use it before Vorpal, you're doing it wrong. Triumphant Roar is worth only to cast between changing target, providing that mob A is JUST dead and mob B is on its way.

I imagine I'll set it for the cheap STR+3, and end up casting it every 20 minutes when Diffusion is up again. Other than that, I rather doubt it.

T.Roar could work well against NMs that have some spell resistance, but still take decent melee damage. I did Einherjar Hydra, and my melee swings were doing 45-55 a swing, and disserverments were doing 200. CA Frenetic rip did around 500. With soul voice march, refueling, and T.Roar, my melee swings were doing decent damage.
