Anyone try helping others on JoF with just plain regurgitation build?...
I didn't have and kinda movement speed so i stuck with that only just cause its hate less.

with some cor and rdm i was helping speed up their fight... 400s when i didn't get aligned right and 500-600

and when the time came right when the job abilities lined up right i pull off a nuke of 808 :O! anyone else try? just wondering what kinda dmg you got going with it... i don't have any morri gear atm~

I think my LS is doing Jailer of Fort tomorrow. If we do I'll give my decent Regurgitation build a try; I mostly made it for jailers but I haven't had the chance to use it on them yet.

Ridicolously easy and quick fight as BLU/RDM and RDM/NIN once the pulling part is done.

RDM kites Fort, BLU/RDM basically stands in a place, spams Dia to delay Fort whenever RDM asks for it (to reapply shadows or haste or w/e), and casts Regurgitation when it's up.
When BLU is almost out of MP, Magic Hammer to get a good 200+ back, rinse and repeat.

After RDM casts 2-3 Dispel/Bind/Sleeps, BLU is guaranteed 99% of the time not to pull hate as long as he only casts Regurgitation and Magic Hammer when required.
Using Burst affinity and Convergence is fine - they only generate 1 CE, VE is largely irrilevant.

was also lowman MMM for koggel the other night,

rdm/nin friend was tanking, i came blu/nin to test out regurgitation... also mind blast para owns XD maybe even close to para2... maybe idk

    setup was 2 cor/rdm, rdm/nin, blu/nin, blm/nin
regurgitation was rarely getting resisted (4/5 magic acc merits + cor magic acc roll) dmg was actually very very nice to how he usually resists my blm nukes, was getting 400 without lined up right and 500-600 almost same at JoF just more resisting but i still used errant body and AF+1 head

thanks for the tip on magic hammer on JoF that is going to be fun next time i get a chance to fight it :D just didn't test it last time lolll

on the good news just helped my friend learn magic hammer from mamook, duoed with 2 blu, fun stuff

Oh yeah I missed the question about damage on Fort. Mine is about 440~ unbuffed, 470 when cast from behind, 520 with BA and about 650+ with everything except Memento Mori (which I don't set because it generates CE). This is without food and I don't have a Novio earring.

With BLM roll I can see damage reaching 850ish with all buffs applied.

This looks very promising for Omega. Has anyone seen the damage for that fight?

For omega i haven't tried that yet, i had enough hate using cannonball when he was on 2 legs and heat breath when he is on 4...
just using those back and forth lets you worry about str/vit/hp and not also int and mnd ><.

would love to test it out for you but usually im stuck going whm hehe ><

1 thing i do want to test is mind blast on omega for the paralyze

Yeah, when I used to go BLU (Aka before I lvled SCH), 2.2k CBs was nice, but hate was an issue. Was hoping to see if this could be a solution.

Sort of off-topic, but has it been confirmed that MND helps para proc rate for Sub-zero Smash?

What were your equips and spell set? I was wondering how Regurgitation would do on Kirin?

This is not allowed to leave the front page.

Anywho, I posted a few questions in the random question thread, but they didn't get any answers there; really it would be more appropriate to put them in here

1.Has anyone ever confirmed whether or not base stats affect the magic accuracy of blue magic nukes, and not just the fINT/MND/CHR and secondary mods?

Anecdotal evidence says no, but that sort of analysis only goes so far.

    2. Have there been tests in regard to cRatio for certain spells?

What were your equips and spell set? I was wondering how Regurgitation would do on Kirin?
Keep in mind that there would be a negative correlation.

Suiram was working on cRatio for CB, but no one could/would help him figure it out. I think he posted his data here a few pages back.

I do plan to keep going with it, too, I just haven't had regular playtime in the last month, and probably won't for another couple weeks, still.

I doubt it would work well on Kirin, because other than the negative correlation, Kirin has a straight 50% damage reduction from any element except wind.

    - FFXIAH.com
    Morgana's Choker above 50% MP.
I believe this is the best possible setup disregarding Novio Earring and random augmented items.
Maat's Cap/Yigit Gages/Mahatma Hpl./Morri Legs/Morri Feet should be very close to Morrigan's Set in terms of raw damage, not sure about m.acc though.

    Spells were:

Regurgitation (1 SP, +1 INT +1 MND, core spell)
Power Attack (1 SP, +1 MND)
Sprout Smack (2 SP, +1 MND)
Cursed Sphere (2 SP, +2 MND)
Poison Breath (1 SP, +1 MND)
Grand Slam (2 SP, +1 INT)
Chaotic Eye (2 SP, Conserve MP combo)
Venom Shell (3 SP, +2 MND)
Awful Eye (2 SP, +1 MND)
Bad Breath (5 SP, +2 INT +2 MND)
Hydro Shot (3 SP, +2 MND)
Zephyr Mantle (2 SP, Conserve MP combo)
Mandibular Bite (2 SP, +1 INT)
Tail Slap (4 SP, +2 MND)
Actinic Burst (4 SP, Auto-refersh combo)
Reactor Cool (5 SP, +3 INT +3 MND)
Magic Hammer (4 SP, +2 MND, useful to have)
Plasma Charge (5 SP, Auto-refresh combo)

    This with capped Assimilation merits.
I think this is the best possible spell setup if you plan to only cast Regurgitation to keep your enmity low.
Magic Hammer is there if you think you can pull it off, Conserve MP and Auto-Refresh are pretty much mandatory.
Magic Fruit and Metallic Body aren't a necessity since you should sub RDM and with all that MND capping Stoneskin is a joke.

If enmity is not an issue you can drop a few stats-only spells and add Mind Blast, Firespit, Memento Mori and Amplification in the mix but be careful as pulling hate cycling through those spells is very easy.

Yeah, for some reason I thought Regurgitation was wind based.

    Fellow Blue Mages,

Is Blue Mage effective in the fay weapon fight? namely the Graugberg version. My guess would be yes because 1) blue magic damage is not effected by -ATK spam by the Wivres 2) the wivres need to be defeated *quickly* which is where blue mage excels

reasons i could foresee a Blue not doing well are 1) Wivre HP might be too high (blue does well on imps because they have low hp) 2) Wivre DEF might be too high 3) MP depletion

Theory aside, does anyone have empirical evidence that it works in this or other fay weapon fights?

No. You can't land a single enfeeble, sword damage is around 0-10 damage, and DD spells do around 100~ damage tops. Quadav is a beast..

Nice setup, I'd say Int Torque > Morgana for above 50% mp though

You can also have a full morri set(Dmg wise) with Mori Body / Legs / Hands / MKD 4int 2mab / yigit feet (If you're in a weird spot like this).

It's 4am, I never bothered to use my BG account, and can't remember if there was a first post type rule.

I did the Grauberg fight yesterday as Blu. You are right about the Wivre somewhat. Demoralizing Roar was not a problem at all. Didn't give a damn about sword damage(Adaman+Snr.Msk.Scimitar, obviously not good).

Big 3 were all 400-600ish damage(From what I remember) on the Wivre. Which was about even with the Sam and Drg in the fight(For their WS).
My gear is bad for Blu. Really bad. I don't even have Dusk for it anymore, and hardly any spell gear. And I was still able to keep up with well geared DD's.

Nishida is right about Quadav though. The only thing I contributed to that was Diss's poison, which was nice during the invincible kiting phase. At the end though, everyone's damage was shit, so it hardly mattered.

We finished in 20~ minutes each time, in 3 fights. I may have gotten progressively worse as the fight went on, but there's nothing anyone can do about that, and it's the same for every DD.
I watched an Amano/Full Usu Sam and his group do the fight before we tried, and his damage was absolute crap at the end as well. Kaiten for like, 17. They had a Brd as well.

Wivre HP isn't that high, Wivre defense isn't that high. They felt no different from the Wivre surrounding the Pixie. MP was not a problem with refresh from Rdm, Sigil, Auto-Refresh, and AF body. Blu is perfectly fine for this part of the fight at least. But, anyone would work. I really don't think it matters what DD you go on for them.

Done this fight on other jobs, just not on blue. The phase of the fight where it can go to shit is when you're trying to wear the wivres down as quickly as possible before sleeps start wearing too early or resisting altogether. Once you beat them, i think you've got it made.

So its sounds no worse than any other job, really. Thx.
