So I've been running some preliminary testing on Disseverment on various subs with the same gear and spell sets on Lesser Colibri.
WAR did the highest Disseverment, but that doesn't really bother me so much. It could have shot theory all to hell, I'm not entirely sure enough to say one way or the other at this time. However, /NIN had far more consistent numbers. I thought this was pretty strange.
Could it be that Dual Wield *does* add another hit, but that all spells are capped at their natural folds (IE: Disseverment caps at 5-hits, Frenetic Rip at 3, Cannonball at 1.). This would explain the numbers I'm seeing, fit with SE's getto-fix history, and also explain why single-fold spells are definitely not affected as far as damage goes. It all seems to fit, but does need more testing. I'd be interested in any experimentation anyone does by themselves (that sounds so dirty -.-).
In other words, it can only proc when a natural hit misses, creating much more consistent numbers.
Thoughts?
This could mean DA potentially could actually affect Blue Magic, though in an unexpected way, as the cap (if the above is correct) obviously still applies. This would explain why BLU/WAR creates more consistent numbers than BLU/mage does, as the few DEX and STR between them wouldn't make the difference.
I doubt the "few str and dex" difference would not make a dmg difference, just by looking at equation, such difference would modify the WSC. So for example 2str and 2dex diff could potentially increase the WSC by 1 or more, and then once whole increased base dmg is multiplied with same multiplier, would yield a noticeable dmg difference ?
So if i were actually doing the test you did, i would have changed my spell set so my stats stays the same no matter which sub i choose.
Anyone have a link to the multi-hit WS accuracy thread? I wanted to look it over (as I think it might apply to physical magic), but for whatever reason I can't find it.
yes, excellent
I haven't seen any of them but because it's very hard to search for ebon/ebur/furia items on this forum I wanted to ask if anyone has heard or has any clue how to make the Blu Tam hats and Talar bodies.
I really want to test what the fast cast on this is so I could reconsider my augments for expansion items. I'm surprised this information hasn't been found and I'm kinda wondering if they've even been released yet. If anyone can link me to this info or posts regarding the lack of said information that'd be cool. ^^
we find out more tomorrow when what we expect as Synergy finally being released. As for all other information on this can be found on ffxiah.

Thanks I wasn't aware this thread existed. I'll keep an eye on it.
New update on Monday will bring in some new goodies for BLU! Seemed relevant to bump this topic in anticipation for Monday.
Here are the speculated/.dat mined ones.
Could see Battery Charge being somewhat useful if it has really low mp cost and recast timer (unlike most aspir spells).Animating Wall from Qutrub - AOE Haste
Cimicine Discharge from Gnat - AOE Slow
Leafstorm from Treant - AOE Damage
Regeneration from Sea Monk - Regen
Battery Charge from Magic Pot - MP Restore
Demoralizing Roar from Wivre - AOE Attack Down
Plenilune Embrace from Gnoles - HP Recovery+ATT+Removes 3
Negative Status Effects
Unknown Fire Attack
Unknown Water Attack
Animating Wail will be a decent haste spell considering its AOE, but I hope its just as good as normal haste spell unlike Refuling... considering most are getting haste from /whm now.
Leaftstorm seems kinda useless unless its like the NM version, total dispell and slow lol which is highly doubtful.
Regeneration will be awesome, regen ftw.
Hopefully embrace won't be like Exhuviations heal but the other effects are nice.
Obviously not 100% positive these spells will be in the update aside from the embrace, but hopefully we can get some nice traits from them.
what....
THEY ADDED BLUE MAGE TO THE GAME???? WTF!
Spoiler: show
Eh if that was the case they would already have SMN around as the norm, but aside from few high end fights they really aren't. SMN already gets hastega, aside from a 45 sec timer I don't see why they couldn't give BLU a similiar recast time but regular haste.
IMO, for the same reason that they hadn't given it to scholar until this update. You're both above average healers, and they didn't want you to replace white mage. Summoner is an extremely lackluster healer in any serious situation, which is why they probably didn't care about giving them hastega.
Hasn't the qutrub wail been in the dats as blue magic since toau came out?
If Battery Charge is at all useful (i.e. more powerful than the mob counterpart), I can understand why they didn't give BLU any normal JAs like some people were complaining about. BC could be enough of a game-changer that it and a handful of other spells could bring BLU up a tier...maybe.
If not, I'm not sure how this'll go.
No hopes up until the update. Remember Asuran Claws? That's right, you don't.
Pretty much this. Could get interesting if Animating Wail is 15%... BLU BRD DNC COR/DD DD DD parties?
As far as I know no, seeing as it came up as a new entry during the preliminary update.
I don't know why this keeps coming up... We never get JTs announced in the updates. Only way one would have been announced was if we got DW as a native trait. I'm disappointed that that didn't happen, but perhaps we'll get some good traits with the update.Originally Posted by LD
EDIT: Whoops, you said JA. Who knows... maybe we'll get one later on.
Assimilation and enchainment.
