Blue Mage: Best thread ever

I really doubt that would happen. I like seeing our versatility strengthened like this. If we need to fill a support role, we can, and even better than before. We already have a very strong melee aspect and enhancing our support side is great. Why would you want them to make it self target...? AOE haste will be extremely helpful in a large amount of situations.

I feel that if you let yourself be pushed back to just a backline role thats your fault. With all the upgrades and the possible addition of more spell points, obviously more mp more gear, we can be DD as well as support given most of any situations. Also holy shit at the teal gear set for our magical spells talk about nice.

You all act as if backline role is evil. People need support and they need DD, being able to fill either roll is a great thing.

Actually really looking forward to Plenilune Embrace the wording makes it sound like its AoE without needing diffusion and if it doesnt cost a shit ton of points and its a decent cure/att could be a very nice spelll. Not to mention with the lvl increase we may get more spell points so it wouldnt be a waste of points

says member's, not members. It's one party member, it's like magic fruit.

There was a neckpiece that gives +4 Sword skill and +4 blue magic skill.

Too bad the damn thing won't break a skill tier at 80 Well, it will for those without Blue Magic merits. Anybody with 8/8 Blue Magic will still need to use Mirage Keffiyeh to break into the next tier for now. Pity, would have been a very nice trade given the options in the head slot.

Also, I just meant that people will probably start seeing us more as mages from now on if I'm right. Which means we'll be associated with a sort of "good support, bad DD" stigma like the rest of the mages. Our rep, as far as DD goes, was already pretty bad.

As for the blue magic skill+, wouldn't a new tier only give 2 base DMG? Well, it only takes 4 STR to give you that much on Disseverment. Considering Kubira Beads have that on the neck, not counting the DEX, and the hands have STR-4, I'd say that's all pretty useless for offense. However, it is really good for MP Drainkiss as it'll increase the amount that can be drained as well as increase the magic accuracy.

It was 61 to 70, then last upgrade 71 to 75, so 4 levels which means next is 76-80?

Takes 5 STR to guarantee 2 base damage ignoring alpha, which is going to increase with level... skill for tiers will get more valuable soon but how valuable remains to be seen. I may pick one up for Head Butt + MP Drainkiss though.
