I'm in Caedarva's west graveyard at the moment duoing the Orderly Imp's with my Blue Mage friend trying to learn Frenetic Rip and we're having trouble. He has Thief subbed and is doing SA+Fast Blade to try and make them drop their horn but they're just not playing along. So far we've managed to get three to drop their horn (with only one doing Frenetic Rip) and I'm not entirely sure how it was done. At first, Blade:Ei made him drop it so I tried that again and no luck. I remembered someone saying you had to WS Lamia's as they swung their sword and tried Blade: Ei as he went to hit me and he dropped it. Tried it again one or two more times but he didn't drop it. I'm not really sure what causes it and was wondering if anyone had a 100% method.

Hahaha, as I was at the end of typing this, Imp dropped his horn for no real reason, did Frenetic Rip and learned it. Figured I'd still post this though, helpful for others if any progress has been made.

My friend did SA Evisceration and it dropped the horn like 7/8 times. He tried SA flat blade a few times too, but it definitely seems that the number of hits that actually strike from the back makes a difference.

That being said, who here has learned Spinal Cleave and can give infos on how to break their weapon/make them use it?

I'm not sure if I missed it somewhere in this thread, but has anyone done tests on BLU's Diamondhide to see exactly how much it absorbs by trying it against cactuar's 1000 needles?

Probably best to ask Batiso(sp?)...he said something about it being similar to max Stoneskin cap (350damage). Considering its AOE, that's pretty amazing.

BLU can use all of the "Falchion" type swords, except Ridill. From what I have noticed anyway.

Fuck that would be nice if they could use Ridill... But it would undeniably lead to an even faster nerfing of BLuemage lol.

I can see that new "Storm Tulwar" 40 dmg elemental Ws's are enhanced based on day of week blah blah, which is obtained thru Assault points being possibly the best main hand sword available?

Maybe Storm Tulwar with Ifrit Blade in off hand, hmm. Wish I had a high level Bluemage, sounds like fun lol ; ;

No, they literally drop from the BC and you're given a Key item to turn in for a Carbuncle's Pole.

No, they literally drop from the BC and you're given a Key item to turn in for a Carbuncle's Pole.

Someone said on a thread here recently there's a way to "farm" the BC by exploiting some entering and exiting issue. They didn't post how to do it or anything but it seems like getting the weapon you want is possible without repeating the BC 3485348953 times.
