I agree these spells do help are are a welcome addition, but this will not do much for us in party or endgame situations where a rdm is present.

If you are in a party with a competent rdm then there is no advantage to these new spells. You will be getting the same % haste and the same mp recovered by a rdm.

I see this more as more as a boost to our solo capacity as well as a boost to our role as a healer (We get alot of MP efficient healing spells and now with self refresh we could effectively solo heal a party) . These spells added to the one defining trait of our job.....flexability.

Wow someone with some sense all I am saying is its meh imho period nothing huge at all but the pricks on these forums have to go nuts its pretty sad.

what more would you want?

we no longer have to be dependant upon a BRD, COR, or RDM for our MP. We can work in any old party setup now and still be just as successful.

It helped a lot of aspects of our job. Not all of us have a pocket RDM for every single event we do (even solo....). The spells also give us new traits that are very useful.

If nothing else, I would maybe expect you to recognize the fact that the ability to set double attack is a significant increase to our melee DPS, and the ability to set Dual Wield does make our subjob options more flexible.


EDIT: Sorry, you mentioned that before I hit reply. At any rate, there are plenty of instances where I am lacking Refresh from an outside source, such as while soloing or partying with a WHM or SCH healer. This is a great fix to that problem.

100% but what frustrates me personally is a bank of spells and cost huge set points that have no purpose other than setting traits. It would be nice to have a nice mp effcient mp nuke for a elvaan with the small mp pool period and yeah I will never heal on blu so thats out lol.

I guess it doesnt frustrate anyone else farming a spell for hours get it and set it. The spell was crazy damage from the mob and when we get it it got nerfed to the never gonna cast that stinker of spell cat.

So yeah I always get my hopes up for spells that we can actually actively use more than just set for traits.

I am still wondering if SE is going to add Blu onto Ridill and some of the other swords they have refused adding them onto in the past. With the Magian weapons (looking at you Antea and its successor), there is no longer a need to keep Blus off these weapons.

Now add that we can basically SC everytime CA is up no waiting with offhanding multi-hit weapons. Add convert / self refresh / self 15% haste. Also, since you mentioned it CA V.Cleave > Darkness is a huge chunk of dmg (you don't need /thf btw...)

I don't know if this was directed at me, but if it was I was not saying to put Blu on Ridill because it "needs" it. I was saying that its stupid to not have Blu on Ridill since we have access to other weapons that do very close to the same thing. Ridill is the correct weapon type and there are no longer any reasons Blu should be left off this as well as other swords (Justice Sword for example).

You will never ever hear me say or think lolblu I love the job still and always will just am frustrated at my spell list that gets little use meaning casting wise period. Yeah asuran claw still hurts lol like really wtf se, and bad breath, thousand needles, and oh yes body slam I can't recall all the time and deaths from getting that one lol so many died for that shit it wasn't funny.
