Honestly, I believe there are a few changes that SE could make to Blu and it would ease alot of the frustration some blus feel over their spells.
1. Make some debuffs last longer
Blu is a great debuffing job, but some of our debuffs wear off a few seconds after they are cast. One example is Aweful eye. The Str down effect barely lasts even on Easy Prey mobs and below.
2. Lower the MP cost of spells to be equivalent to their Damage or equivalent debuff
There is no need for spells like 1k needles and Bad Breath costing what they do considering there are other spells that do similar damage/debuffs that cost much much less.
3. Allow MP draining spells and weapons to work against all mobs
This is a major limitation for blu (as well as other mage jobs) and it is being sorely felt leveling from 75-80. I can understand the reasoning behind this (It makes sense to not be able to drain MP from a mob that doesn't have it). However, it is not fair to us to have our capacity diminished significantly on most mobs people fight (since mobs with MP are more of an exception then a rule). It also limits the effectiveness of weapons that do the same (Tizona is the one good thing SE has done in that the mob doesn't require MP).
Note: For those who may say other jobs have limitations on mobs they fight (example Drgs do more damage against mobs weak to piercing), this is not the same. At least those limitations restrict the damage and do not nullify any and all damage. This one spell loses all its usefulness against mobs w/o MP.
4. Either give us more set points or have a discount when setting spells for a trait
We all know we set some spells just for traits and not for the spell itself. SE should give us the option to set spells only for their trait at a much lower set point price. To compensate, these spells cannot be cast by the blu when they are designates as "trait only spells". If you want to set a spell for a trait and use it the normal set points required will apply.

5. Please...PLEASE SE, reduce the tp given to mobs by our multi hit spells.
