Definitely not a set I'd employ if I could help it - you could make a decent number of swaps for DD stats, eat pizza/sushi, and come out even/ahead on acc and way ahead on STR/attack. I'd also be concerned about what I'm giving up for spells and WS.

Also, VBelt in a cheap set? brb Jugner, sounds like those Knight Crabs are just sitting up unclaimed.

As for Bullwhip, Arcane Robe has yet to be found (other Arcane pieces were from MMM V09 lower tiers) so unless Shadhaver drops both Bullwhip and Arcane Robe, I'm sceptical.

People were speculating that the 5% haste belt came from Karkinos... even that JP website said that, but, as you said, people found out that it drops from Lacovie.
Now that site says that Bullwhip comes from WoE (which would be a little more accurate than the MMM theory).
Maybe JPs like to mess with us, since they know that some people go there for info.
anyways... less competition for Vbelt would be nice, since none of my 3 jobs can use bullwhip

I highly doubt it; JPs have been giving false info since the days of Tasai/Refresh, it's kinda paranoid to think it's to mess with the english speaking players.

XI is too old for me to bother convincing people who desire so badly to be stuck in the old ways. These are the same people that willalso downplay DNC, Haste Samba, SCH or PUP.

BLU ultimately comes down to the situation and the player. While it doesn't completely dominate any event, a good BLU should be able to fill in any role they are tasked with which comes down to DD, tank, nuker or healer in the rare cases.

Nothing cause he's absolutely right. So many people have fucked up this job beyond belief that I would guess less than 10% of the FFXI community know how to play the job correctly, and even then I don't want a job that can 5 different roles at different times decently when I can get a job that specializes in a specific area better than BLU.

When I was in my old LS, they hated BLU just like most do. I had to actually get on it and show them what it is capable of at multiple events before they understood how it works. Most people just don't know what BLU is capable of because so many gimps and negative people like to downplay the job. If you are a well geared BLU, who is smart about how you play the job then there should be no problem.

Except he was saying the guy was "absolutely" right. It's incorrect, a LS that uses BLU won't always be worse than a LS that doesn't.
