Yawn probably works since I remember sheep song working. Though I'm pretty sure that won't wipe shadows though. A sheep song > actinic burst > spam AoE spells should do the trick though.

Yeah but they depop after a certain period of time, I know some people just used a bard and sleepga them and waited until depop. So i'm gonna try yawn and see if they depop. Could yawn > yawn anyway if they wake up, flash if needed.

They depop in less than 36 seconds. People bring Bard and Black Mage to shout groups because on any given run one of them will be incompetent.

K just tried it, Yawn is awesome. They just depop.

Edit: Sheep song is actually better, still depops them just like yawn and cost ~30 less mp.

Remember that the NM can wake up the pets with White Wind, so drag him away from the pack if you use the sleep method.

Magic Barrier is pretty nice, anyone knows a good mob to test how much magic damage it can absorb?

Okay solo'd it, very fun fight . I know rdm or (insert job here) can solo it, but this was just for BLU. If you have spare IS laying around why not right? I got water4 and k ore last fight, k ore 150k and water4 200k lol, so sad.

I didn't use disservnment in this fight, took me few times to find a solid strategy. Inital few fights I was using aoe spells... but some reason wiki didn't even mention these mobs all spawn with 3 shadows and I never bothered to care in the past cause we always had someone aga them. So using two aoe spells took all my mp, so I decided to sleep em. Next fight after all babies spawned they kept wiping my shadows and hitting me to around 50%, so I flashed > sleeped but since poison was on NM kept hitting me. This time, the one where I won, I didn't use dissv at all and just slept the main NM as well so I could get my bearings and put up shadow/stoneskin/w/e needed.

I agree and disaggree. BLU is a powerhouse but so are other jobs espacially in abyssea. Atmas make amazing difference too. ...[more]

I think BLU is on the higher end of Abyssea jobs. I mean, I can solo every third or fourth Abyssea mob with a self-SC and one or two spells, and I haven't seen any jobs who are doing that. With Refresh atma, I can keep doing that and casting 1-2 spells per mob indefinitely.

Of course, I do pick-up Abyssea so the overall talent level is low, so I imagine I haven't seen the upper end of what is possible. I hear some WAR WSs can drop entire groups of XP mobs, but I haven't seen it.

Anyone have a good LJ or something of the sort with BLU content? Debating playing again and I loved BLU before quitting, but wanted to see some more picture-esque posts with gear set ups and the works now.

Definitely .dat swaps, one of them looks like Brotherhood from FFX and I know that's not in the game.

How do I got about setting a condition in spellcast so that Mavi Kavuk overrides other set headpieces during CA? Just kinda figured out how to use spellcast this morning, mostly due to the fact that I need an easier way to incorporate Mavi.
