I noticed on the wiki, someone had post BLU can solo Cep-Kamuy. If this is true, can someone give a better detailed explanation on how? Idk about you guys, but on Asura, I swear that bat is camped fulltime and never up, and I need another way of getting mavi seal: legs than murex quest..

I imagine it would be possible to solo but it would be terribly inefficient compared to BLM or SCH just nuking it down with gravity on.

You'd want to kite it, Disseverment poison and then Regurg spam (though it resists water) for bind. Firespit/Mind Blast/etc works well too. Physical spells do good damage but if it uses a TP move, it can do 1.5k ~ 2k, be it Leeching Current, Seismic Tail or whatever. I think Leeching Current goes through fanatics, but if it doesn't, you could just fanatics > spell spam like most NMs.

Firespit + Mind Blast spam using Magnetite Cloud for gravity and Regurgitation/Blastbomb if necessary to bind it when gravity wears would be the more efficient method. I don't recommend using Disseverment at all, Leeching Current is incredibly potent. Doesn't take long.

Team up with another blu/thf and both can bounce in between with SA ball? Can do this for pretty much most NMs w/o flee speed movement.

Nice, nice. Thanks for the replies guys. Time to suit up my magical build set and head for this NM. Of course, I am rather sure I will probably get aggro the first couple of tries and maybe die, but the more practice the easier. Wiill most likely beat doing the murex quest.
Also, if you don't mind me asking. What type of magical build sets do most of you use?

What type of magical build sets do most of you use?

Pretty easy to gear acceptably for BLU nuking now:
- HQ Staves
- Teal Set
- INT Rings
- INT Neck (Prudence/Lemegton)
- MAB earrings (Moldy/Novi)
- INT back (Prism Cape, Pendant Cape(I think?))
- INT Waist (Penitent's)
- Bugard Strap+1 and Phantom Tathlum

Of course there may be minor places where Mahatma > Teal etc but this set will give you good numbers. Remember to set MAB trait.

According to the windower site, you download resources.xml from the site and overwrite the file in the plugins folder. If FFXI is running, you have to disable spellcast and recast, replace the file, the you can reenable those two plugins.

Fianlly got around to testing Mavi Kavuk +1. The CA bonus is a straight +10 to base damage (separate from the part that's multiplied by Efflux).

So does this mean that Kavuk +1 is always better for CA spells unless you have, say +20 STR on head for Vert Cleave? Or am I reading it wrong?

Pretty sure its been said you need the hat on during the casting of the spell.

Just saw on wiki it lists the blind effect on Auroral Drape to be -60 acc, which is pretty huge. Any idea if this is true?

Kite it to the east then run south, keep on running south or around some rock to lose the adds then return to claim the NM. Anyone tried out blu/thf with RR atma yet? Most of our crit spells suck.

Heard a smidgen from a friend that has it said it effects, but didn't go into detail. Gonna get the Atma myself on Sunday however (if the fugger doesn't despawn glitch again...).
