Honestly if I ever get around to finishing WotG I probably won't pick my augments for a while. The rewards are so mediocre and Abyssea invalidates many of the options I'd otherwise look at. Probably would have done refresh/TP bonus or something to that effect otherwise, though TP Bonus would only be active under CA (if at all). As it is the only thing that looks remotely interesting given my jobs is counter+3 and that's not nearly awesome enough to make me grind missions right now.

Went over our haste options again just now and apparently I miscounted, we can hit up to 30 now... any idea how best to arrange this shit?

Mavi+2/Fort/Suppa/Brutal
Mavi+2/Dusk+1/Epona's/Rajas
Atheling/Twilight/Mavi+2/Homam

is 27%. If I drop Mavi Mintan +2 to Morrigan's or Loki's then I have 24% haste and could then cap with Tiercel, but I'm not entirely sure that's the best option. Any items I might have overlooked?

You could just downgrade Dusk+1~Homam unless you have a RDM leveled. 26% seems to be the goal.

I have RDM and DNC, both of whom benefit from Dusk +1 still. One option I just noticed is Mavi Mintan +2 and whatever piece of Serpentes happens to be active at the time, keeps me at 24-25% haste while adding more refresh. Not a huge deal inside Abyssea but outside it's something I'll probably keep in mind, especially when solo.

Scars-era, I definitely didn't need accuracy from Fort or Ziel. 1% haste is better than 7 attack. Getting rid of it wouldn't bother me one bit if I could find a superior combination, but I'm not losing haste over it.

Efflux no, Enchainment merits don't affect Efflux so I'm assuming this wouldn't work either. CA yes, provided it affects spells. This is the first example of non-weapon TP bonus we have access to iirc so that's unknown at present.

Well assuming that it does grant +25 TP bonus, wouldn't this earring beat out the current alternatives (which are just vanilla STR/DEX/VIT mods) under Chain Affinity?

Not to mention the new Magian Sword that gives +100 TP bonus.

Winds of Promy = Erasega, e.g. will not remove Poison
Delta Thrust = Great damage spell for the extremely cheap MP cost, low recast too.
Empty Thrash = Conal.

Re-confirming the awesomeness of Dream Flower, large AoE, overwrites Sleepga 2.

I assume the low MP cost means that they aren't going to be competitive with the likes of Benthic or Whirl of Rage but the numbers seem really low. Ive had better luck with Everyone's Grudge which is turning out to be a fun little dark-based nuke.

Delta Thrust reminds me of Bludgeon in a lot of ways. Low MP cost, fast recast, three hits. Not bad when you need to feed slow even damage at low MP cost and are not worried about TP feed.

I've had no issues with Delta Thrust, but Empty Thrash does seem kinda meh. This is with a VV/MM.

Honestly, I prefer Whirl of Rage over Empty Thrash.

less points, stun effect, and the AoE is all around, so you can hit that annoying SOB behind you.


Anyway, a question: Are there any pieces of gear that catch anyone immediate attention this update?

I notice Areion's Gamashes (DEF 19, STR5, AGI 3, Subtle Blow +5) which might bear out Denali on my casting setups. Opinions? and any other pieces of gear that BLUs should think about getting?

Assuming you can hit 26%, Wivre Gorget with crit. rate +X% augments are extremely common in Tahrongi. I've got a +2% for when Charis isn't doing anything for me, and I saw a friend get one with either +3 or +4%.

Idk if that was like that eariler but I was duoing Orobon t1 yesterday with BLU+BLM and a lot of times Regurgitation bind wasn't wearing even after 3 nukes. On like 6-7 binds it wore after 1st nuke once. On T2 it was always wearing after nuke and on regular orobons it was like on t1.
