Anyone that picked up the Moonshade Earring with Acc. or Atk.+4/TP Bonus+25 can probably test it for us, since there's a slim but good chance they have BLU leveled to confirm.
Gotta keep in mind, Martial Anelace didn't flat out spell out the number that it grants with it's bonus, so let's see if the new wording from ToM/Augments net different results than previous equipment.
What I was hoping aswell, I kinda doubt it, but let's hope =p
2800 charges whiskers were with staff, morigans, as much mab (+25 mab, dont have af3 hands or feet) i could stack on, minikin and 50 mab atma and burst affinity, no momento or fantods, vs IT mobs in ulegerand (sphereoid things). Can stack on another 30 mab with 3rd atma today to test.
75+151 int.
3x atma, baying moon, minikin, ulitmate, 2569 whiskers, 2180 thermal pulse
with memento mori and one fantod 2758, 2389 THERMAL PULSE
with BA 3240 whiskers, 2817 thermal pulse
with BA MM fantod, 3654 whiskers, 2959 pulse
all i could test, kept dying cause idiot lsmates wouldnt sleepga shit
did more testing, used mab potion, damage didnt go up so it's mab capped.
Sorry if it's been asked, but I havn't seen it anywhere.
Where are you guys getting the empty spells from? I've only been back a week or so, and wondering where you find seethers, gorgers, and thinkers that give EXP. (Occulation, Quad.C, and Winds of Prom) I've found the Idle Wanderers and Woeful Weepers already. I mean I could always level sync with someone down and get them easier at lvl 40~ but that's no fun. :D
I went to promy - vazhl to get my spells. You don't need to get exp from a mob to learn a spell, just need to feed it enough tp to use the ability and have a little luck. Welcome back! Time to brush that rust off your sword lolOriginally Posted by Revitozu
Oh my god, you don't have to get exp? ffff
I've been doing trials too much it seems. How could I have forgot that? x.x
Sub WHM since you'll want to tele anyway and you can give them 10tp with every cast of dia. Get them to 25% HP so they're more likely to use TP @100 and turn your back, spam dia, profit. Also dia gives the thinkers more encouragement to use Winds of Promyvion since it'll erase the effect.
Keep in mind that the AGI->Subtle Blow thing makes it a harder to feed TP. I think it took closer to 15 Dia casts to give them enough TP to WS.
Lol yeah, I put on gnarled horn figuring it would help me tank roaches in abyssea better, and it would only ws once when it was near dead. Was meleeing it with oat3 khanda too. But worked like a charm anyhow, never curled up like the ones in mt zhay do.
The AGI subtle blow thing does suck, but it doesn't play too much of a role in learning spells. Just make sure you don't have a ton of +AGI spells or gear in and you should be fine. I haven't touched blu yet since 85, but I'm not looking forward to it. To be honest, with nothing really 'omfgamazing' coming with this update, I'm reluctant to go get them all. I have everything I need to proc !! in abyssea and sadly that's what I'm doing the majority of my time spent on blu anyway D:
Honestly while my initial reaction was the same as yours, reports of the magic-damage spells in this thread and my own experiences have turned my opinion of the spells this update around a lot.
Look at it like this: last update gave us the big physical spells for the immediate future, and they're still excellent. This update gave us some very impressive magic-based spells, on top of a very nice nuking piece on hands. So while it hasn't improved phys options any (which is fine) it's vastly improved where we stand on the magic side, which is a nice boost to our utility. I'd still like to see more reports of what these spells do against upper-tier NMs but this might even address blu's issues with damage against bosses; a phys setup for squishy things and when it's time to pop something big you use a nuking set to land spells for grellow and then use magic-based spells for damage with less TP feeding.
But has anyone tested the spells on highly defensive mobs like the chasm sandworm? I'm going to try tonight but I was just wondering if people have tried with certain atma setups.
I was doing around 1500 charged whiskers and everyone grudges to t3 bosses.
here's a fun screen shot of our new spells in action
over 50k dmg , blm wut?
