Probably because you are using a staff instead of a sword, since physical accuracy effects it. Even Seedsprays' accuracy plummets when I cast it with a staff.

1k Needles is magical, not physical. Seedspray is physical, of course you'd use swords for that one.

It says magical, yes, but honestly since this patch, I have had near perfect success with the spell when equipped with swords.

Well, what are you casting it on? Magic accuracy has been higher on mobs because we're all lvl 90 now, so we have higher blue magic skill and such. But accuracy from wearing swords won't affect 1k needles. It's purely magical. Only skill and magic accuracy affects it's accuracy. No matter what. Besides, you using magic accuracy swords or something? That'd affect it too.

Also, just to help anyone hunting reaving wind, I think bloody beak is a frontal cone attack, so if you tank the mob to the side, it can't hit you with it. You'd only have to deal with Storm Wing AoE damage and silence (bring echo drops of course), providing you tank with your back against a wall to deal with Reaving Wind's knockback.

I haven't tried at 90 cap, but at 85 cap the only time I'd have excessive trouble landing 1k needles on anything with swords was Ahmuluk and Sobek. For Sobek, just putting on a staff or using Convergance would work. But With Amhuluk, it was always trouble with staff and convergance I'd have to pull out the Ascetics tonic for that one.

I can't land 1k needles on most NMs at all. Even with Apollo's and drink it resists almost all the time. Seedspray will fail always if sword isn't equipped as well.

I've landed on a bunch actually sedna /Cirein-croin with tizona and a shitload of macc gear as for spray i've never tried it with anything but a sword.

Enchainment blows. Especially when you use 50% of your CA with efflux and +300TP bonus.

CA recast or BA recast depends what you use more. I would say most BLU that are there on bosses to proc yellow will have much better use from magical builds and taking ultimate+MM+Baying/beyond/PW/Cosmos atmas. Everyone's grudge + whikser are imo much better option then physical spells on bosses now and macc from ultimate and convergence helps spells like 1000 needles lands a lot. Convergence has also effect of making AoE spell to single target which also helps when you fights in place with mobs around.

Magic and Physical 5/5
Convergence and Assimilation 5/5

CA is usually used once on fast fights and doesnt really matter at all because compare to normal DD it blows anyway. On slow fights magical nukes are better and BLU has much better use for unique debuff, stun etc. not dmg. If you want to make dmg you picked up wrong job.

Sylvdragon's setup is imo good if you use BLU for exp partys not all around use.

Where are you getting the +300TP bonus? I really wanna know, cause I might be 'doin it all wrong'. I was told in the early days of BLU that if you don't have any TP when you actually cast the spell, then you don't receive any bonus from it. In other words, if you WS before casting, you only get credit from your WS TP return (like ~12 from Savage Blade). At the same time though, my CA Spells seem to do more damage when I self SC from 300 than they do from 100. Is there some % of your initial TP 'locked in' when you use CA?

Also, I'm trying to transition into a more Magic heavy build in Abyssea, but I'm missing several key pieces of gear and Atma.

Do shadows increase the same as skill tiers? How many shadows might we expect at capped skill at level 99?

If 400 = 8th shadow, I might be oversimplifying, but I suspect that it potentially works that every 50 Blue Magic skill = 1 more shadow, so if we have 450-499 at 99, it would result in 9 shadows. 10 if we were to somehow hit 500. Just speculating though at this point.

Otherwiki is listing Isador as a drop from Isgabind, the Jormy-model Wyrm from Uleg. Can anyone confirm that? Seems a bit off as they list two separate weapon drops, Isador and Triplet Dagger, for him and most of the high-end NMs have had one belt/sachet and one job-specific weapon each.

I don't know the actual answer to your question, but the general rule of thumb is that otherwiki editors are idiots while bgwiki editors are non-existent.

So reading through, do you think it is worth it to do some MAB swords? I haven't really fooled around with our magical spells for a long time but want to give it a go. Or would the staves I am doing for BLM/SCH be better? I haven't finished one yet to testttt.

If you're talking about the Magian Staves BLU can't use those, sadly.
