Nightfyre did the calculations, so you'll need to get the specifics from him. Since he tweaked the calculator for BLU, I don't imagine that he forgot to add that into the equation.

I ended up doing that by hand, but yeah it's accounted for. I'd like to create a more precise simulation to precisely account for and even optimize spell damage in various situations but the next update would have to be pretty spectacular to inspire me to do so.

Anyway, I had STR sword generally beating DA as an offhand weapon even without spell damage. If you're using /RDM or another subjob where you're working with DW I/II then DA Khanda may overtake STR by a very small amount in pure melee damage since the high delay is not as counterproductive, but spell damage should still at least bring STR even with DA in that situation. Overcapping pDIF would obviously make STR sword less attractive.

Barring pDIF capped situations, STR wins by up to 5% and I don't think it ever lost by more than 1%. That's without accounting for spell damage and potentially overrating DA Khanda as well.

Wasted a lot of time waiting for some friends to hit VNM stage or I'd probably be done by now. Working on helms on and off, once I finish that I'll probably burn through Sobek asap. Won't finish til after the update though, not going to be around much this week.

Almace has huge impact on BLU's damage mainly on high def mobs where spell damage is a trash for example Orthurs. On weak mobs outside and inside abyssea spell damage is still very powerful.

CDC is one of the best Empyrean WS and remains strong outside Abyssea since the DEX mod means you're not sacrificing anything to cap critrate. Swords being kind of meh overall and potential gear/job limitations limit the ability to realize that potential.

"Real DD" depends on what you're comparing it to I guess. In a comparison I ran recently with haste + marches, Almace BLU came out ~30% behind Kannagi NIN, both in and outside Abyssea. Of course, if you took the comparison further and added Haste Samba then BLU was also able to cap delay reduction and suddenly the difference between them was almost nonexistent.

When You play with WAR with 90 Ukonvasara especially with no marches when retaliation add a lot to TP gain frequency you understand you will never be close XD
