Having trouble with blu cleave. Charged whiskers only doing about 1.5-1.8k on frogs in la theine. Atma:

Note that rdm is only 30 for these test geting it to 50 today


RR + MM + beyond (average of 1.6k dmg)
RR+ Beyond + lion (average of 1.8k dmg)

Gear:

Jupiters staff
not sure on thunder or dex grip
thunder sachet
alias bonnet (still need to get)
love torque (still need to get)

af+2 hands
thundersoul ring (Can swich for +6 int diamond rings)
rajas ring (can swich for +6 int diamond rings)

what gear/atma should i swich out? and should i swich out alias (when i get) for lightsome cap? +9 dex

Normal pull is Enervation > Memento Mori > CW

Lion/Blinding/ultimate for atmas. Use burst affinity and you'll be fine.

dont have ultimate atm working on it/hell RR wouldent be good it for the 50 dex? with BA increasing the mods wouldent it beat the 30-40 lightning dmg

RR is fine if you are missing one of the others, MM is pretty bad though.

If frog's INT is near bird's INT (64), you'll do more damage using Lion Blinding and MAB (Beyond or higher) atma. You're currently experiencing resists because frogs have magic evasion like crazy. Also, BA will not make DEX beat the Affinity value. Remember when you're tweaking two different multipliers, you want to give the greatest % increase. I recently did a check using the calculator and it appears that anytime DEX changes your damage, it bumps your WSC up by 9pts with AF3+2 feet. This occurs (At a maximum) in once every other DEX. In other words, 50DEX will give a max of (25*9) 225pts to WSC. Given this, we can compare when RR will beat Affinity with the following equations:

1. (X+225)/X = 1.3
2. (X+225)/X=(1.6/1.3)

(X+225)/X represents the WSC+fINT (Base% if you're looking at the calculator)
1.3 represents the boost using Lion
1.6/1.3 represents the boost using Lion + Blinding Horn

1a. (X+225) = (1.3x)
1b. (0.3X) = 225
1c. X = 750

2a. (X+225) = (1.6/1.3)(X)
2b. (0.23077X) = 225
2c. X = 975

How to interpret this:
1. If your base% is less than or equal to 750, RR will beat Lion
2. If your base% is less than or equal to 975, RR will beat adding Blinding to Lion

Using the calculator, even if you only have 100INT and 100DEX, you will exceed the 750 value. Clearly, Lion wins for atma 1. Keeping INT at 100, it will take 150DEX for normal BA (i.e. no AF+2 Feet) to hit 975+value. With AF+2 feet, it's roughly 142.

Experiment with Razed Ruins + Lion + Ultimate. For *me* it has produced better results than Blinding Horn + Lion + Ultimate.

Your mileage may vary.

I don't know what's up with your calculator saying Blinding Horn should beat RR, but I have testing that shows otherwise.

Edit: (and it's not that my base dex is below 140, it's definitely above that.)

If you put DEX+50 through the calculator, the increase is actually less than the 225 advertised, so that gives the advantage to DEX to begin with and DEX will didn't beat Lion/Blinding.

Mobs were (variously) chigoe and gneiss leeches.


Edit: setup was 177 dex, 143 int, 96 MAB, +2 shoes, -10 MDB on the mob, HQ staff. before atma. (+.3 affinity, +50 dex +50 MAB atma)

I'll agree that the calculator says Blinding Horn should win, it just *didn't*. I may go out and see if I can figure out where it's numbers are off and how.

Tonight, though, there is cake and BBQ (not necessarily in that order.)

Just had RR/VV/MM on at the time, figure I could swap VV for BM.

Me and GF decided to cap her STR then dump rest into dex for CDC mod. But that was just personal preference. Gorget wise she uses light it was easiest to get with the organs she already had but not sure what else worked i THINK ls said ice/water but dont quote me on that.



Back to cleaving talk we went and cleaved chasm last night for ls mates GA. Fought Mandys using RR + lion + beyond (dont have horn or ultimate/hells yet). CW was doing average of 4k (3.8-4.2k) with about 6.7k on procs. Guess it was the frogs. TY for help guys.

Stat wise (outside abyssea):

STR: 72+16
DEX: 81+64 (need bonnet/love torque)
INT: 72 + 13
MAB: + 31

Quick question for Charged Whisker cleaving: How much am I supposed to be doing, damage wise? Current setup + RR/Lion/Ultimate is giving me ~4200 damage I believe. It rarely ever one shots Konsch mobs (farming for Refresh hairpin). What's my follow up move supposed to be? Whirl of Rage tends not to kill, even though mobs are around 7-10% health left. I find myself low, so i'll CW > Actinic > depending on HP cure/dream flower/thermal. That usually leaves me with all dead or one or two stragglers, but my HP gets super low by that point (I do have -50%PDT with Lion). Tips?

Use CA with Whirl? Aside from whiffs, should hopefully do at least 1k.

Quite a lot more than that. Checking my logs I was doing 6k to spiders in uleguerand the other day, 6.5k to raptors. Lion+BH+Ultimate for atmas, mostly meh gear, my feet are +2 but hands are only +1. I guess novio isn't that common, but other than that my gear is whatever random dex gear I already had for other stuff, nothing special.

Definitely Snow Gorget. I'm Elvann Almace BLU as well, I'm just sticking with STR merits personally.

Without checking (Just based on your DEX/MAB), we have roughly the same set up. I'll go over there and test to see if my calculator predicts correctly. I tested the calculator against Mandies (Tahrongi) and Birds (La Theine) and the numbers came out correctly (And even explained an anomaly when I forgot about having Artemis on).

I tried looking through RQ thread, but I couldn't find whether TIII WS gorgets work. For now, Snow + Water will work since CDC is Light/Distortion.

My insta-guess would be those pieces, but you can run them through the calculator (Use 65ish INT for the mob and no MDB) to check. I don't know what you have for atmas, but I would guess RR/MAB/MAB atma works. Minikins if you need the MP obviously.

I would like to see your set versus Merciless's set because if I had to guess, his numbers are coming from correlation bonus (Raptors) and cruor buffs in Scars/Heroes areas. Minor upgrades won't produce a 2k+ difference in damage, so I'm almost certain there is an external (zone/mob) difference or his gear is vastly superior to yours.

In this case, all my whiskers were done in Konsch, vs Lizards, Funguars and Bugards.

Your damage was expected quite honestly. If I recall, when I tested the calculator for the bird it was roughly 4k (Though I don't have Ultimate yet). Lizards should have taken slightly more damage, but not the mega-increase merciless is implying.
