I've been trying to use the BLU XML set posted by Yugl a couple of pages back, as I recently returned, my only problem is that when I load BLU.XML, it instantly crashes me. Not sure what i'm doing wrong in this case. I load spellcast, autoexec, then exec blu.xml and insta crash.

is where you go wrong.

if your blu.xml is in your plugins/spellcast folder it should autoload

Can BLU solo any Apollyon zones (In it for the chips)? I'm still wearing these goddamn pink feet, and I don't know if I'd succeed in dragging my friends to Limbus if I didn't have proof that we could manage it, or some progress already made.

Do I need to take any special efforts for any of them, such as non-standard gear sets or spell sets? Do I have to play extra defensive, or just go kill stuff?

I just soloed NW on BLM and it was easier than I thought it would be. Are these zones going to be a joke on BLU? I like to think I'm pretty decent at the job all around and not just mimicking good tactics and calling myself good because of it, lol. Just wondering if something like this is considered hardcore elite expert mode or am I just going to walk in and never even have to think about it?

No its not hard at all. They can all be done very easily, I would recommend an evasion set since you can evade them very easily with it (mostly for NE, the one with the mandies/birds/dhalmels). Don't need to really rely on clubs for SE, I normally spell spam in there np. Sub /rdm and go to town on everything. Especially on crabs, aspirable with two aspir spells (if necessary) and a restore chest on every level.

Can also solo all tier1 of Temenos as well, if you were wondering.

How do you deal with kings floor as solo BLU? More specifically, with the final 4 behemoths.

Same thing as a black mage, they are bindable. Regurgitation + nuke, although I wouldn't doubt you can just melee them up now.

Edit: As for KB, BLU can use good bit of long-ranged spells now. Cannonball, Regur would be good ones and just kite him as normally.

I've never really played BLU as the Debuff/Kite/Nuke type that it's capable of, which is ironic because I was RDM main for like 4-5 years and was always kite soloing stuff and debuffing the hell out of everything that looked at me funny.

AF3 head/body/legs, dusk or ocelott gloves, homam or dusk+1 feet, rajas/epona ring, suppa/brutal, smart grenande or white tathlum, atheling mantle, twilight belt and fort torque or orocho nodowa/augmented wivre gorget from tahrongi canyon. Or if you random joes, full aurore, x2 macc sticks.

What Augments can you get on Wivre Gorget in Tahrongi? BG wiki has nothing, and other wiki is apparently incomplete unless you're saying to go for a Subtle Blow augmented neck piece.

Subtle blow (at least up to +5?) and crit rate+1-3, although crit rate is stupidly rare and there are only a few reports of +3

Not really, its mainly a debuff/buff piece. I still want to get one to try and max my BLU skill lol, not really useful though outside of spell learning and few spells like Magic Barrier.

If you don't mind getting one-shotted by Everyone's Grudge/Rancor, the Rancor Collar is a solid TP/Vorpal/CDC piece with its crit rate +5%.

mavi neck is 100% worth it. along with anything that gives +blue magic skill for blu enfeebles via filamented, sub-zero, actinic, sleeps and so on.
