tbh lately I would consider damn near any mob type a target for CW burning. With the merging doing fun things I've had to sometimes switch to a different mob type each time I do it because someone is either randomly killing them lvling them up, AOE burning themselves, skilling up I think, and then random I have no idea what they are trying to dos

Don't do bombs. They have some kinda resistance. With best setup (or very close to it) you'll do like 40% or something ridiculous like that. Also avoid WHM and RDM mobs as they have MDB and possibly Shell. Other than that, everything is pretty much open game.

Lithe are best under CA, worst case scenario they'll perform ~identically to a best case scenario for Mederi with STR+6 without CA. Areion potentially have a small lead on average outside CA but it's quite small and you're not always going to get the 3 base damage out of it that you'd need for this to occur. If you're using BT with CA I'd go for Lithe, otherwise it's a tossup between Areion's and Lithe depending on inventory/whether or not you expect to be capping fSTR.

EDIT: There's also 3 acc on Lithe via DEX, personally hate seeing that spell miss.

thanks, i choose inventory space i would use mederi for other big spells anyway. for some reason BT has shitty accuracy, i have been missing it so much more than any other physical spell with almost the same accuracy ><

Depends whether you hit another D value tier or not. Just omitting the technical bullshit - check this table:

if the scarf gives you another D tier - go for it - if not - forget it.

I've gotten +6 STR on Mederi and another with +2 blue skill. Took about 300 to get +6 STR and 300 to get blue skill2+. The likelyhood of hitting both is more time than im willing to invest.

I'ver burnt 90 trophies today on Mederi Feet - got:
- 1/90 Blue Magic+ (+2 - yay)
- 3/90 STR+5
- 0/90 STR+6
- 2/90 STR+4
- other was crap - with "MP recovered while healing +1~2" being the most common

Sweet things to look forward 2 I really didn't have the best Benthic Typhoon atmas on was focusing on CDC and thought why not go thf and see what a sc can do. It's been years since I gone /thf doing cannonball spam and man now I have CDC it has made me driven to work on getting the max out of blu.

What was your atmas and spell setup???

I was using my CDC atmas; RR, SS, AoA. I didn't even have a gearset/spellset for Benthic, I think I was running around in basically my usual STR gear. Normal CASAFlux Benthics were like, 8.5k? The hypothetical SC there would just be a shade over 9k. Assuming a high-end 6k CDC, that could work out pretty well... assuming someone can keep hate. Or Hide SA'ing works as /THF. I don't know if it does.

On another note; CDC build subjob? Pretty sure I could top 900 Attack with /WAR, but is it worth /NIN's 10% DW? Or maybe /SAM for CDC > CDC Skillchaining? I don't like levelling vanilla melee classes, I find them boring, so I'd like to know whether WAR and SAM are worth trotting out to level to 45.

Interesting damn so much higher than what I was doing with APOC/RR/SS now i have to clearly do some work I even have lokis and a bunch of agi I macro in easily hit 5k but no way close to 8.5k average dang. ...That's off the scale whats your gear setup?

Guess I should try my str gear werid if that indeed gives higher numbers and build tp to 300 but man I thought I was geared but not close to those numbers lol

Sorry should've been a bit more specific. Yes some mob types are bad to solo CW burn. Casters are generally annoying to pull regardless and dark resistant mobs are bad for sleeping though suppose you could just yawn instead but it's cast time is icky.

As far as bombs I'm not sure what you are talking about I used to do bombs in mis all the time mostly cause no one else was touching them and one shotted them. Plus pulling magic aggro mobs is a breeze lol. Only real problem was watching out for the damn nm.

No, it was idle. It gave no light, so that shows I oneshotted it from being a yellow mob, and Murex don't cast when idle as far as i can remember.

You cannot.

Also the calculator above appears incorrect. At minimum it doesnt calculate bonus attack on spells such as frenetic rip, vanity dive, goblin rush.
