So I was doing a bit of research for the best offhand for Almace (it appears STR sword, but sometimes the Double Attack one). I keep seeing talk of Motenten's spread sheet and Nightfyre's calculations... and I'm not math wizard lol >.>

Can someone link me to these maths (or walk me through it) so I can quickly determine which swords win in what situation? Thanks.

I imagine people are modifying the PLD sheet to suit BLU, as there is no specific BLU sheet.

Just make both? You should probably already have a STR Shamshir from before you got Almace unless you leveled into it or something. I haven't made a DA Sword yet, but it looks like you might be able to AOE it pretty easily once the NM Trial is out of the way by doing Whisker>Whirl in Abyssea (Depending on your Whisker set, you may have to skip some buffs so you don't 1-shot them)

Just remove jupiter staff from inventory to avoid macro to switch your trial sword. Much easier then optimizing buffs and you can use almace in one hand for dex which would help on whisker or genbu shield if you want more PDT.

That would probably work. You'd have to follow up with CA/Efflux Whirl almost always if you Whisker without Jupiters, but that's the point anyway.

Can also use Thermal Pulse. I haven't played around with it too much, but even with the ideal set it should be just short of 1-shotting most mobs? Probably need to use Pulse at some point anyways since whiskers will be useless for the 300 clusters trial.

I haven't heard of clusters possessing the same resistance as bombs.

Can someone give me a run down on best evasion gear setup for BLU? I've been back a few months, but i'm not familiar with all the new items in the last year or so.

Also: Evasion/AGI sword trials, wajaom is best, or are there some trials that are easier to cleave than wait for weather?

Mmmm, there is a new neck that drops off some NM and the Ocelot gear.... I think that's the only gear that's really must-have and new, but I could be wrong.

As for the Eva swords, I did all my trials in Wajaom. With Magian Specs to predict the weather, it's not such a chore and the weather usually lasts 20 mins. Teaming up with other people doing the matching trial for dagger meant that I often did entire trials in 1-2 occurrences of weather.

That being said, I'm a terrible BLU-cleaver and usually get around 40/hour killed when soloing non-linking and/or non-magic-aggro mobs. If you can get better numbers than 100/hour, you should just go for it.

What's the best Limbus zone to farm ancient beastcoins as a solo BLU? How many can I expect to get each run?

SE is pretty easy as blu, and I think you're looking at like 40-50 coins.

On BLM, I soloed NW and got something like 50 coins, and that was skipping everything I possible could (ended up that I didn't need to). If you actually killed everything on floors 3, 4, and 5, you would probably do even better than I did.

Yeah a CA+Efflux+WhirlOfRage is actually very very nice damage to boot I follow with dream flower and buffs before I charge whisker...

I used to do that... but found that the dmg didn't help. I'd either one shot or get a resist and CAEFF WoR wasn't enough to finish. And on top of that actinic burst provided better protection while getting dream flower off. Ie I could do it even if I forgot aquaveil

Whirl at the start is only really worth it if you can't 1-shot that majority of them with Whisker. It's nice for when some asshole comes and levels up some of your mobs, but otherwise it should hardly ever used. Just do CA BA Eff Whisker, then Whirl if multiple resist/live through it, QC if only one does.

could just make a 2 line macro P.embrance ,/wait 1 Magic fruit, if you don't mind looking at the chat spam yet get, its old fashioned but works.
