I dont think he is stupid or something. He probably knows how fast damage caps hate and was looking for additional hate tools when he needs or want to be on /blu. Saying damage will cap faster or BLU main will be better is pointless.

If he for example meant to know this for VW to tank Voidwrought or Hahava on pld/blu then suggestion from both posts above are even more meaningless.

PLD/BLU w/Ochain, just looking for additional tools // while I shouldn't run out of MP too easily, at the same time MP efficient hate generation is always a plus. I mainly had Jettatura in mind for 99cap and even though Jettatura is a long recast, it's still another tool for quick hate and everything helps with such a broken hate system to begin with.

That said, I just went out and got all of those spells. From what I've read, physical spells are based on your mainhand weapon, and additional effect proc is based on blue magic skill - if that's true and with that in mind, is there a spell that I could use to supplement damage available 49-below? Or would they fall into the same category as CDC against tougher mobs?

Back on the topic of cleaving, does Fantod stack with Efflux/CA/BA? Everytime I Fantod then hit my Efflux/CA/BA macro, Fantod wears... Is one of those JSs nullifying it? I don't even waste my time with it anymore because most things are 2-shotted but it's just something I noticed when cleaving last week.

It wears with first spell you cast. It's boost effect that you can stack (casts fantod 10 times for max boost) for your next spell.

I don't think you understand what I'm saying. I'll boost and boost and boost, usually 3-5 times then hit Efflux+CA+BA and my Fantod icon disappears. Unless I'm looking at the wrong thing, I'm asking do one of those JAs overwrite Fantod because it seems to drop everytime I hit one of those (not sure which, it's all on one macro with <wait 1> in between each).

I just casted fantod and used all JAs you listed manually and fantod effect is right there untouched.

Thanks. I must be doinitwrong. I'll look into it. Could be possible that I'm recasting something (like Cocoon) right before I Whiskers and that's what eats my Fantod.

Are you using Mori? I remember fantod disappearing for one of actions as well, but I think it was because of Mori and not abilities.

For those guys who got Almace 90 you ended buying all the Syshpus fragments ?

Because with capped amber my luck with fragments was very low

If u dont mind can u tell me how u brewed ? You killed 3 of them at the same time ? Or 1 by one while u brewed ? And wich ws is good for it ?

And how many u killed per brew ? ( And any special screens used ?)

I used Sanguine blade on my BLU to do it. I got around 7 per brew and this was all done before AOEing. I wouldn't AOE though because a lot of the people I was with needed +2 items/phurba so I would lose horns due to overflow if I didn't quatermaster. No special screens used, it can get the occasional stun off from its melee hit but it wasnt bad, it took 3 Sanguine blades to kill.

I would really suggest against doing three at once. Three of them swinging for en-Stun seems to me to be more trouble than it's worth when Sanguine Blade is efficient as it is. You'd also need to bring three stunners, then wait for them to all be done having the initial spell interrupted before you could even herd them together. Not saying it can't work, just doesn't seem worth the effort.

I used Sanguine Blade as well. I imagine the majority of people do simply because nin/blu/pld all get access to it without effort. Wildfire is more effective if you have it cause it can skillchain itself and allow you to possibly two shot it (you may need Fire Shot and/or Firestorm with a Fire Obi if that even works).

Still waiting for some sucker to try Cloudsplitter on it.

For the purpose of fSTR calculations, does anyone know the VIT of a higher level monster than Greater Colibri? Or have a rough number to work with?
