I didn't buy any of them. Capping amber is a horrible way to farm them. I did most of mine with 1-4 amber kills(this was before the light update so I have no idea how much actual amber it was.
Small boxes with low amber always netted me the best results. You get too many and it starts poping amber chests with higher tier pop items or KI's.
I brewed with Blu on some and my brother did pld on a few also, sanguine blade can "ALMOST" EDIT: 2-shot them but it still always took 3 ws's(thanks for the correction and refreshing my memory Nyosan) but I was generally able to get about 8nms per brew.
As far as I know blue or grellow proc does not help empy items drop. For apa blu proc only effects the phurba. Just flat out killing it instantly netted me 2/2 on most every mob. I got a handful of singles.
Even with perfect gearing including things like +10% dmg swd going on dark day using obi and the atma that adds +.5 to ftp on same day and then +50% dark dmg in atmas and decent amounts of MAB gear and memento mori you'd have a really tough time breaking 80k on a non nm... most abyssea nms seem to take at least 2/3 normal magic dmg assuming no resist so...
Yeah; I was trying to be a little more pleasant than just saying, "You're full of shit."
A little off topic, but I was was curious on how a Convengence (maxed), BA, brewed CW would not break 100k easily on a non-NM mob (tried this out for shits and giggles).
Atma: Lion, Ultimate, Blinding Horn
Gear MAB: 36
Used Aesthics (maybe this over wrote the MAB bonus from brew???)
1.15(staff) x 1.6 (atma) x 1111/100 (theoretical mab/mdb) x {2(999-70ish) + 1.25x4.5[92 + 2.1 x (999 x 0.5) = should come out to something around 150k
Additionally I did this on a Qutrub (which takes double damage from what I understand 300k), but numbers came out to 13k one time and 70k on another. What am I missing here?
Pre-patch, damage over 65,535 would 'wrap', displaying the value minus 65,535 (times X, if your value was more than X times 65,535).
Post-patch, it's changed to a value other than 65,535. I'm not sure what the value is now, but that could have something to do with the values you're getting (i.e., they are more than 13k and perhaps more than 70k).
Last patch
Well depends on what you consider missing. No ascetics didn't overwrite. I've tested up to like 150-200 over brew still working. Also you could use -MDB spells, fantod, day/weather
You did your equation wrong. I'm assuming the 2.1 is a multiple for setbonus/BA but 2.1 isn't one of the possiblities for that. And stat comparision sections of the equation cap at 1276. Also pretty sure blu magical spells still use lvl correct factor for stat mods
It's 99,999. I haven't been able to test yet if that is merely that is the cap on display or actual dmg since I need to find a mob that has more than 100k hp that I can also actually deal that much dmg to lol.
Spoiler: show
Hmmm I don't have links right now. I know that one jp site that normally tests stuff like that did but can't think of the name right now. iirc they did blm and some blu spells. I personally did sanguine blade and wildfire. If you got 200k cruor to blow you could do it yourself. It's pretty obvious when dmg doesn't increase when you use sound blast... and when the numbers work out perfectly for 1276 for that portion everytime
Get cracking! The below job traits are set so they can be enhanced.
Dual Wield/Fast Cast/Store TP/HPmax/MPmax/Auto Regen/Counter/Magic Burst Bonus/Skill Chain Bonus
Are you trying to say to figure out if we can make higher tiers of those traits by setting more spells?
Yugl's post is in response to this from the Official Forums, which was in response to feedback regarding the Manifesto:
Blue mages, your time has come! Here is some feedback from the development in regards to your comments about the job adjustment manifesto.
While it won’t be for Azure Lore, in the next version update we will be introducing a new ability that will allow you to use HNM abilities while under its effects.Add blue magic that can only be used while under the effects of Azure Lore.
There will be no need to set the HNM abilities and you will be able to use them once the ability recast timer is up (planning for 5 minutes or thereabouts).
*You will still need to learn the spell beforehand.
We would like to look into doing something for this.Lengthen the effect duration for Azure Lore.
Since part of the strategy is to make a choice within set requirements, we have no plan of reducing the overall cost. We will be making balance adjustments to the increases in set numbers depending on your level.Reduce the overall cost of blue magic spell points.
The concept is that you acquire blue magic spells via learning and then you can change battle strategies by picking and choosing spells within the blue magic spell points and set limitations. If you were able to change spells freely, the whole battle strategy aspect would be lost, so we have no plans to remove/reduce the penalty.Reduce or get rid of the penalty incurred after setting blue magic spells.
We tried looking into this, but it would make having to set spells beforehand nearly pointless, so we will be putting this idea on the back burner for now.Add an ability that allows you to use cast blue magic spells that are not currently set.
I believe this comment is mainly meant for magical type blue spells, but the casting time has been set while considering the power, added effects, and other usages.Reduce the casting time on blue magic spells.
Though it depends on the type, the casting time is pretty reasonable when comparing to elemental magic and enhancing magic, so we have no plans to change this.
We are planning to add White Wind in the upcoming version update.Add higher tier AoE healing magic/Will White Wind be added?
This was set this way purposefully so that the effect is enhanced more when you select a support job that has healing magic skill, and the cure amount is based on this number.Make changes so that blue magic skill, not healing magic skill enhances the cure bonus for healing-type blue magic spells.
The below job traits are set so they can be enhanced.Make it possible to enhance job traits.
Dual Wield/Fast Cast/Store TP/HPmax/MPmax/Auto Regen/Counter/Magic Burst Bonus/Skill Chain Bonus
While it is not possible to enhance all of the above job traits at level 90, with further level cap increase and the addition of new blue magic spells it will be possible to enhance them.
Also, when double attack/gilfinder are enhanced, we are planning to have them change into triple attack/treasure hunter.
They're saying they can't all be now, but @ 95 will be. I'm thinkin BLU/WAR becomes a real contender with that. Set Triple Attack, Dual Wield II, Store TP II, get /WAR Double Attack, all the /WAR goodies.
