A:It always increases your ws/time *if* it doesn't increase your hits/WS. Like I said in the post you quoted. You can't prove me wrong by posting an example that increases your hits/WS and then say "look, it doesn't increase your WS/time".

B: the TP/ hit for 70% DW is wrong, it's 4.8. So you need 19 hits @ delay 161, or 3059 delay. So it's more WS/time. (8% more, actually.) So 8% more WS damage, which is at least 3% more *total* damage, putting DW3 at ~11.5% total damage.

That my bad on the TP, used the same equation to determine both instead switching to the <180 equation. So yeah that does make quiet a difference.

Best augments on WOTG ear for BLU? Also, what does Occ. grants dmg. bonus based on TP +5% do? Similar to Erebus Lance I hear from googlefu. How much damage bonus we talking about? This is assuming an Almace/CDC. TP Bonus+25 would effectively add more crit hit rate, but this weird damage bonus shit I have no idea.

My Regular bread and butter setup for melee DD with a few handy spells thrown in is:

This set gives me plenty of DD spells to work with (Typically enough to spam non-stop if I have to), a few handy traits like Refresh, Acc, Bonus, Double Attack, Dual Wield if necessary, SC Bonus, and probably more that I can't remember cause I'm not on BLU atm. It also leaves me pretty self-sufficient with a Heal, a Haste, a Refresh, a DEF Buff, and AOE Flash, Stun, and Sleep for those "Oh Shit" moments.

Why would you choose Magic Fruit + Cocoon instead of Plenilune Embrace? At first I was thinking /RDM, but that still doesn't make sense to pick those 2 spells instead of Plenilune. Mind explaining it?

Aside from that, it also casts slightly faster, the animation doesn't lock you up as long, and it's 34 MP cheaper to cast. I'm not positive, but I believe that the 34 MP for 110 HP cured over Magic Fruit makes it less MP efficient. In any case though, I like the cheaper cost because if I'm running low on MP, I'm more likely to have 72 than 106, and if I'm depending on Refresh ticks to get me to my next cure, I don't have to wait quite as long.

Edit: Also, if I was going to give up Cocoon, I would either replace it with Final Sting to make Zanshin Trait with Whirl of Rage, change Actinic Burst to Plasma Charge for 3STR 3DEX, or replace with Fantod for 2DEX 2AGI. It would likely depend on what I'm doing. Considering that Benthic Typhoon gets a bit more important once you get CDC, the Fantod replacement looks pretty attractive, though Zanshin looks pretty nice too... I'm open to suggestions.

Hmm, good points. I think I'll put Plenilune Embrace out then.

As for Almace, I'm still unconvinced how that will change BLU as a good tank, at least not when /nin. Since BLU has very low evasion, don't we just get pushed to cast utsu/occultation when we blink tank, I still can't see how Almace can make this problem become less prevalent.

A lot of people underestimate what a good eva build can do for BLU. I find it a lot more beneficial during CW burning than a pdt set.

Does "eva build" includes infusing an eva atma?
Because I think I've asked couple pages ago what can double eva shamshir can do for blu tanking. And 1 reply was saying it's good for tanking 75-cap-day mobs, not so much on other things.
You'll lose a lot of haste if you're swapping to your eva build (ergo, damage capability), won't you?

If I don't have thunder damage atmas yet, will Thermal Pulse with both fire damage atmas do as well as (or close to) Charged Whisker for AoE'ing trash mobs in scars zones? And if so, what stat should I stack with BA up instead of Dex for CW?

Meh I still prefer plenilune. You really shouldn't need to be spamming cures on yourself to begin with. And yay str stats on it and more hp cured. Slightly less mp efficient but more time efficient and slightly ups your dmg

You aren't damaging anything during a CW burn and mid pull. I don't use any EVA atma but have a full build including 1 agi shamshir+2 (main is almace). It's also really boss for holding mobs when you are trying to proc if you have hate. Only have trouble against really accurate NMs and few heroes NMs.

Also @ the cure discussion, I rarely ever use P embrance. M fruit ftw.

Agree with Draylo on the eva set. I cant tell you how many times it has saved my ass in many situations. Granted mine is till on the low end, but it helps when you need to cast a heal, occ, or even utsu to save you. Plus in abyssea eva set + eva atmas (GH, CnD, MM or another eva/agi atma) can make things a hella lot of fun to solo. Still have to try it out on briarus but easily can solo any of his pop nms.

I may not exactly be understanding your worries here but Almace is going to be a huge boost to your melee and ws damage regardless of if you're in eva gear or not. If you are going to tank on blu while engaged, almace is the answer. If you're debating using another job instead of blu for tanking then that's more of a personal preference.

I never said to use a eva build to tank with full time. Almace is definitely worth it. The eva is mainly for a fall back if you need to cast shadows or hold something. If you are tanking on BLU you just use normal DD gear and have a whm heal you lol
