They did say Dual Wield is one of those "enhance-able" traits on official forum. So I'm guessing it will be enhanced to DW III
Ok done with testing the magical spells.
Dark Orb is dINT*2, 40% INT, 4.5fTP
Water Bomb dINT*1.5, 20% INT 10% MND, 2fTP
I tested Dual Wield on /WAR with all spells set, looks like DW2 or I suck at the maths, or there's a 5.0 TP floor on the test server. >.> I'll try with high delay stuff.
I dunno, we only got 1 extra DW spell this update it seems. I could see us needing to wait till 99 when they add a 6th spell. Not sure if I will be setting TA, 7 set points to go from DA to TA is pretty steep although it is nice that Heavy Strike + Empty Thrash will give us DA - 5 Setpoints for 5STR + DA and what looks like a good damaging spell. Anyone on the test server able to see if Heavy chains to CDC?
Since 1000needles is magical damage, Spikes too, my understanding is BarrierTusk = -15% MAGIC damage reduction actually?
I have no idea off memory how to test reliably physical damage reduction...
Also is there an updated Renkei somewhere including Empyrean WSs and BLUspells SC connections?
1000 needles from mobs is physical damage, reduced by things like earth staff, atleast that is what I remember
Phalanx overwrites Barrier Tusk, but Barrier Tusk cannot overwrite Phalanx. (This is with no enhancing skill+)
With Barrier Tusk + Terra's Staff, 1000 needles did 680.
Barrier Tusk + 44% PDT, 1000 needles did 487.
Looks like a 15% reduction that's added after PDT.

@Kenshyn, dark orb won't replace charged whisker. It's single target...
I can just hope it's a bug. But I doubt it... why create a new variable for damage reduction?
BLU/BLM (no suppa, no store TP) with all spells set and 504 combined delay only put out 11.6 TP per attack round (DW2).
BLU/DNC all spells set 11.6 TP per attack round (DW2)
BLU/NIN = 10.4 TP per (/NIN trait)
I don't think we got DW3 at all naturally. That or it's a bug. Someone please correct me if this is wrong.

Hmmm, Dark Orb + Everyone's Grudge... looks like we're establishing a Nuke base that can get by on one Atma set.
Edit:Hey Proth, did you test to see if AGI was a mod to Dark Orb? Mods often match the stat boosts that setting the spell gives (like Charged Whisker). If you didn't test it, perhaps Dark Orb also has an AGI mod and we can abuse it inside Abyssea similar to CW.
Regurgitation/Cursed Sphere/Water Bomb too?
