Heavy Strike > CDC didn't seem to make anything under Azure Lore.
Also, physical blue magic spells are *terrible* when you only have 31 skill >_>
Oh, it can. But if you adjust any job's level except for blu, it sets blue magic skill back to 0, (because no job other than blue has blue magic skill), I'd been playing around with sam beforehand, so my blue magic skill was 0 (+16 for merits, +15 for legs) and I didn't think to re-set my BLU to 95 to fix it.
Didn't matter for the test anyway, since accuracy doesn't depend on blue skill, and sam had enough sword skill.
If we are getting +35 skill at level 95 (7 per level) that means we can reach 450 skill quite easily, bringing an extra shadow on occultation. Would just need mavi legs+2, af body, 8 skill merits, and 8 more skill between tathlum, relic head, symbios gloves, scarf, crimson/blood greaves.
I prefer casting occultation in the max haste i can, so id go with scarf and tathlum, leaving hands open for mavi+2 and also 20% haste (homam feet, mavi head, twilight belt and mavi legs), at lvl90 you can get 8 shadows with cap haste though.
You forgot to factor in 12% from +2 hands.
Ah, that would be it. Would you still need Loquacious? I'm not sure how delay- is calculated with haste and fast cast.
I've been trying CDC > Heavy strike and no light, didn't even gear swap. Also try Heavy strike > CDC and nothing
Yeah you won't see the animation, but you should be noticing more damage than what your heavy strike is doing. I'm gonna try testing with magic bursts today, wouldn't even be considering this as a possibility if it wasn't for the other skillchains that I was able to open.
EDIT: According to MBs, it doesn't SC. I made an error somewhere. I did however confirm that Heavy Strike has at least a fragmentation property, but I couldn't find anything else; possibly Frag only. Goblin Rush -> Heavy Strike made light (Thunder, Fire, Aero and Dia all MB'd)
The Skillchain still does not appear on screen or in the log.
EDIT2: Experiencing something very bizarre, some MBs aren't showing up on repeat tests... yes, timing is appropriate.
EDIT3: Well it doesn't make anything with CDC. All I can nail down is Fragmentation.

Anyone minds testing to see if fSTR cap has gone up?
Grab a level 1, cast featherstorm against non-piercing weak mob in str gear a couple times to make sure you get a non-crit. List AGI # and damage.
Also list blue skill.
Try test with 442 skill and 446 skill if possible (ie with/without mavi scarf)
The new fSTR cap is 26, tested it earlier.
Edit: ._.
