I wonder what the mp cost would be if they withdrew the accuracy penalty? I'd personally have it cost more to be reliable.

The way the dev guy worded it on the ENG forums made it sound like "based on the feedback from the test server..." heavy strike is being nerfed. To me, it sounds like the JP post is just a way for the devs to calm the storm. They're basically just lying to cover their tracks.
SE should split the difference on the nerf. Giving it normal acc, might be too powerful, but maybe -35 acc instead of -70 (or whatever). It would bascially force sushi if you wanted to spam the spell, basically trading melee damage for spell acc.
Or maybe (heres hoping) we'll get a multi-functional spell between 95-99 that does solid damage and gives -eva. (Like benethic typhoon does with -def). I like the idea of damage + debuff as a setup to stronger spells later in the fight.
Also SE giving us some +blue attack food (for other more accurate spells) is way over do and would give an additional option for play style. Or even editing triumphant roar to add +15% blue attack (in addtion to melee attack) would be nice.
You forgot about one thing. There are/will be many VW that are high evasion and will normally require sushi and you will still be uncapped by significant margin probably. They should give it +accuracy and double the recast to make it some kind of SAish style of spell like it was with SAcannonball but w/o needs of subbing /thf.
I don't wasn't it english crying that got the bst nerf? I think you just have to be vocal enough
Did some testing on Chant du Cygne's natural crit rate since most of what we have on it now is almost all estimation based on Blade: Hi. For the most part this seems to be correct, however the value at 300tp was a little different.
Spoiler: show
Overall it seems that CDC is an analog to Blade: Hi at every TP value except for 300. I made sure that the sample size for 60% crit rate was sufficient enough to enable my conclusion of 40%, the end chance of not seeing a non crit was 2%. I'll expand on my data when I get time, but for now this is where I'll leave it.
I'm pretty sure :hi was 15 20 25 so it would be the same only for 100TP.
Did you check tp to make sure each time to make sure the first hit and only the first hit landed too? First hit missing could easily still look like a non crit first hit if it crits or you get 2 or more hits in after
How much is your "decent sample size" for this test? The test seems a bit tedious to do (at least for solo).
Did you go /SAM? I'm curious on your method on getting exactly 100/200/300 TP before unleashing WS.
/DNC to control TP more effectively. Disengaged to bring them down, steps to dump 10 TP, samba for 25, waltz for 50.
Sounds pretty legit to me. Miles ahead of what we had before. The conclusions you've drawn are probably correct, but:
100TP = <20% Crit rate
200TP = <30% Crit rate
300TP = <45% Crit rate
cannot be wrong. There's still room for it to go 15 -> 27 -> 40% and be totally linear with the test you did. The 200TP data point is obviously the hardest one to test though, so I wouldn't stress out about it.
Hopefully this is the right thread, but I believe it was brought up a few pages ago: BLU tanking Hahava. I just solo tanked it on BLU/WAR. Never got into red hp the entire fight, except once when the weakness tp move went off. It was actually extremely easy, and much easier than crab guy. I went full out defense, taco, cocoon, defender, and obviously my damage totally sucked. I didn't even bother WSing. All I did for hate was spam fantod, actinic burst, animated wail, and magic fruit after his spells went off. None of the mages died the entire fight, had 3 BLMs, 2 SMNs.
Overall, not as efficient as PLD, but definitely works very well. Perhaps even easier than PLD, just not as fast. You technically don't even need to melee and can just stand there spamming fantod (no tp feed).
